I guess sleeping on a problem (and watching the History Channel) sparks some interesting ideas to solve a problem. The ducting issue into the rad - I was struggling coming up with something more durable than tape...well,seeing some old aircraft with painted cloth covered wings...I left tape and painted it with a flexible rubber paint - similar to the brand on infomercials. It seems to provide some durability/flexibility and it doesn't add much weight.

Kydex is a nice product to make ducting with. It's very easily worked with a heat gun. Tape is cheaper but if your looking for something else.
