Well, my usual Craigslist search yielded an opportunity I couldn't pass.
Its a JMStar 250cc for 4 bills!...It's been dropped a few times, and it has a vibrations above 55 and boggs terribly at 60....but drove it almost 60 miles home.

Good find for $400. Those 250 scooters go for lots of money around me. They want $2,500 for high mileage abused 250's that need a complete rebuild engine & body.

Well...drove it over to the state inspector... passed inspection and died...wouldn't restart...pushed it home...no spark! CDI was warm found a finger size melt spot in the side. Ordered a new one plus a pick up.
Because I can't leave anything alone, I pulled all the body panels off...I didn't care for the color. Looks like the previous owner removed the panels with a hammer and most of the epoxy in N. America to put it back together. Spent today removing glue, epoxy and silicon from EVERY panel.
I will take some pics tomorrow of the "naked" 250.

I want to cram that engine under my ruckus Judging by the previous owner with enough glue, epoxy, and silicon, anything is possible!

It's a nice looking machine. I'll bet you can get your money's worth out of it.

Judging by the previous owner with enough glue, epoxy, and silicon, anything is possible! You forgot about the American standard for fixing things - Duct Tape! They even use it on NASCAR racing cars to hold the body together at 200mph! Great stuff.

The lack of panels makes the seat look even more large and plush.

I had a Rocketa MC250b that a PO had put back together with drywall screws.

I had a Rocketa MC250b that a PO had put back together with drywall screws. Those screws are especially fun if you try to reach for a fastener or something in a tight space while one's within scraping distance.
