this guy trying to run you down is also a good reason to carry, that's a justifiable shooting. Blowing out the windshield of a guy trying to run you over can change a drivers attitude quickly.

This is why I carry a pistol. The dash cams are getting real cheap too, just seem like a good idea.
I did alot of drunk driving when I was younger. It was stupid, and I should have known better. My mom was a drunk, and was constantly wrecking cars with me and my brother in the car. I quit drinking around 6-8 years ago, and things are a lot different for me. Even 1 beer every couple of weeks or so really has an effect on the way people think and make decisions, even while sober. I dont tell people they shouldn't drink for moral reasons, people have the right to do whatever they want. but honestly you shouldn't. Its a solvent. Its friggin poison.
Back to this douchebag.
Where did this happen? Like city and state, preferably more info if you can. Like where he came out of when he pulled in front of you(im guessing a bar). Maybe there are some riders out your way that'll see some douchebag old guy w glasses and a scratched up SUV. I'm sure most of the people on this forum and others would happily keep an out for this guy. He seems like a public danger, and should be delt with.

Shootings happen in KC all the time. I almost caught a slug when a car and truck went by shooting at each other a few weeks ago. One very angry high speed hornet past the head... Nothing made the news so nobody got killed. I heard seven shots. KC is like Chicago, gang bangers hammering away at each other over drugs, turf, booze, money, or sex. Bystanders are sometimes more endangered than the targets because they can't shoot worth a damn and don't care where their shots go. The shot that went by me missed the target by at least 50' horizontally and 25' vertically at a range of ~50' which is really fine shooting.... I wonder where all the bullet(s) ended up.

It never ceases to amaze me how some mild mannered old guy can turn into a nut job when driving a vehicle. Some of the road rage videos you see are blown out of all context over the slightest thing. Glad your o.k. Must of been a bit scary at the time.

I blame the TV and movies for that shit... The "cover fire" bs they do. "Lemme just turn my head while I close my eyes and shoot". bullets are expensive, and sometimes hard to get these days; I had to wait a couple weeks to buy some 22lr about a year ago! Just wernt available, now I " got a guy" who gets me 9mm rounds fairly reliably and cheaply but its still not cheap. so I tend to be more careful with em.

Glad your o.k. Must of been a bit scary at the time. I agree, its like the car is some sort of battle armor. I'm regularly getting "victimized" on the road in traffic by what in fairly sure are soccer moms. Like, for real. Little SUVs and minivans with stick figures on the back cutting me off with inches to spare and laying on the brakes. I had a women who looked like she was in her 40s almost get out of her car and and walk over to my window before a single swear word sent her right back into her mazda tribute, saying she was calling 911. Friggin people and there friggin ideas.

road ragers dont face the consequences they should. reckless driving, communicating threats, should be mandatory along with assault or attempted homicide if the situation calls for it. i got caught doing 91 in a 55mph zone in 1994 and lost my ncdl for a year. being a 21 year old kid that had to work i continued to drive and started racking up dwlr charges (driving while revoked) next came a wife and kids so i continued to drive to work only and as of 4 years ago i have 21 dwlr charges. a mandatory 18 months in state prison next time im caught. but ive spent 10s of thousands in fines, lawyers and probation fees. not to mention half my life was spent on probation and ill never have a drivers license again as each charge carries another 3 year suspension. i know i broke the law...repeatedly... but seems like road ragers get off kind of easy compared to other offenders

I lost my dl for 10 years, at least that lead me down a 2 wheeled path, that's one good thing that came of it.
I have seen others commit much worse and more offenses than I ever did and managed to somehow keep their dl. I don't get it really. I guess it all depends how much you can afford to spend on an attorney.

Its a tough road out there. I know driving is a privilege but its the responsibility of the driver to share the road. There are so many of us out here that want to get to where they're going safely. That means you can't rage over the scooter driving 35-40, thats all the faster we can go

Well you can be a well connected bureaucrat like the Iowa AGs number two guy, or you can be the governors son and even kill a couple people of course, that works in Iowa
