NP. I was just starting to wonder if I really was talking to myself. I wouldn't blame anyone if they quit watching this one, I've been trying to go 50MPH with me on it for how long? lol

Personally, I think you should find a big hill, use the stock speedo and that way you can claim speeds in excess of 70MPH!

Someday, I hope to make us all happy... or at least quit bugging everyone with "WTF? Why won't it go?" posts.

Well, since I thought the torque driver was causing my belt travel issues, I went back to the stocker. Max speed tonight was about the same. I pulled the cover off when I came home and I'm still not getting the belt travel I had before. I guess when I modded my vari for more speed I took some out of it?!? I had filed the center to let the two halves close tighter, thinking it would push the belt out even farther. Somehow it works less now. I modded it the same way some time ago (just took it farther now) with good results. Hmmm. Maybe I need to dig the stock vari back out?

I've got a BGM one that has an extra 7 or so mm on each side compared to the stock one. It's going free if you like.

Perhaps the roller slots dont allow that much travel,I've seen where the roller stops are cut to allow it,but its pushing the design to the limit, the rollers could fly out if cut too much..

That or the vari opens so far the ramp-plate totally separates and it gets ugly! Ive seen rollers (sliders in my case) get a nasty "cut" in them from going so far out of the ramps they get caught in the ramp plate. Also saw one Malossi vari keep eating rollers and sliders at an angle. I still dont know what the heck is causing that? Maybe you did find the "limit" in filing the vari center? Dont see how tho? To me it all makes sense to keep closing and push the belt up. Try the stocker i guess. I am running my stock vari in Skeedr because i had a nasty slipping with my Hoca.

The Naraku is made with longer ramps, and I did have it reaching the edges before. I thought about cutting them, but decided against it. If I've screwed it up, I might try it. I checked when I was modding and it can't separate. One thing that is nice about the little 4Ts is they have longer guides to let the vari travel farther. I've got a BGM one that has an extra 7 or so mm on each side compared to the stock one. It's going free if you like. Thank you for the offer. Lemme see if I can get this thing working with what I've got here first.

Sure. I can also offer you a bloody big hill, if all else fails that's sure to get you topping 50 :burnout:
'twas not fun pushing a 120kg scoot up it this morning when the bloomin thing packed in. I'll have a look through my 139QMB spares in the workshop, there may be something in there that you haven't tried yet.

lol I live in a flat area, I might need that hill. There was about a 20MPH wind going right in line with my road today. I thought about it. lol Then I said, "Naaa", pulled it apart to adjust the valves again (trying a low setting like Goosey to see if it quiets down with the aftermarket cam) and swap in a smaller main jet. I stuck a 105 in there last night but it's a little too much. Still gotta swap trans parts and get all the panels back on sometime.
