i caught a guy in my garage one time and the wonderful nose of the mossberg made him piss his pants and kept him nice and still till the cops got there
im real lucky at work i just pull my scoot into the bay and park inside and the zuma is nice as it fits thru the walk in door so i dont even need to open up the garage door even when i head out of town and take the cage it gets put inside inplace of my company truck

I did a little searching and found and this may not be new news to you, Gorilla makes a alarm with a a remote pager that is good for up to 1/2 mile away.

After reading this post and inputting my thoughts I starting thinking about designing a small circuit that could help all of us in keeping our scoots from being stolen. While I cant do the pager system I do have some very interesting ideas. Once I have something more than what I have on paper I will release some info to hopefully help us all. No Shocking Alarm either..

too bad you cant get a decent flash bang any more you could just booby trap it and make them piss there pants when the flash bang went off and alert every one in the area that something was going on

I had someone let some air out of my back tire a couple weeks back, but that was fairly harmless compared to slashing, and theft. Still, what is wrong with people, a good scare might not be such a bad idea.

Wow, 200 bucks is 1/3 the cost of my scoot. I know of alarms for under 20$ but, Most of what I have read says people should remove the stock ones because of battery drain and other related problems. i would LOVE an alarm for my scoot despite the problems associated with one. I have also read about using a cheap prepaid cell phone as a GPS tracking device just in case it is stolen. Does anyone have info or tried this before??? I was thinking about a cheap alarm with a remote start but, I know people have had problems with them. I have to ride the scoot tonight so I will be checking it every 1/2 hour or less. I maybe just paranoid now but, no one is getting my shit without a fight!!!!!!

I had my last scoot stolen right out of my works parking lot. I wasn't even working that night either. Went inside to check the schedule came back out and it was gone.
I now use two pretty thick lock cables one for the front wheel and one for the back. Lock it up to the redbox thats right in front of the store. I too have been looking for a good alarm system. Might pick up one of those Gorilla alarms but I don't know how the tilt will work since I don't have a side stand on the Zuma.

The alarm circuit I am working on will flash all the turn signals and sound the horn at the same time.

Hmm, is there a louder horn you can install for these things? I'm not sure mine would impress the local vandals. That's a good idea though. It would at least back them off, and if you were within hearing you could come out swingin.
