70cc up and running. No leaks.
I’ll break it in an see how it runs before I do the planned intake / exhaust / gear mods.

Nothing special. Warm up. Ride for a 1/2 hour, vary rpm. Cool down completely. Do this 3X. Change oil.

 First time pulling a Yamaha engine. A little more of a puzzle than the Honda GET but I’ve done those more than a handful of times. how similar is this motor to get motor? Kinda? Not at all? |

It’s very similar and well engineered. GET can only be safely bored to 66cc. 58cc is more common but pistons are GETting harder to find. The Yamaha cylinder can be removed and thus more options for power. The fuel injection makes is easier to start.
They have been both super reliable.

 Took q*bert out for 1st trip today. Weather was good. Pulls real strong and hits rev limiter quick. Next is to remove the stock stuff. Air box and exhaust . |
