I replace those flanges by cutting them out and replacing them with an adapter and clamps. What sort of adapter and clamps? Exhaust pipes take a beating

Just pipe size adapters available at any auto parts stores.
They are available in a large variety of sizes and configurations from straight pieces of pipe to flanges and flex couplings.

For 20 bucks, I had to say yes. '57 Schwinn frame, 26" front tire and a 17" Honda rear wheel. Now I just happened to have a chinese 47cc 2 stroke motor at home...... I've been wanting to use it in something. Today I just scrubbed grime off of it. Guess I'll be giving this bike a sex change and making it into a lil motor bike this winter

Removed the girls top bar, I've started to notch out the piece of pipe that will become the boys top bar. Looks like the Honda rim will fit. I'll need to braze the chain ring directly to the hub. Then cut down some aluminum axle spacers. Looks like I'll need a new seat

My CBF 250. Need to sell it. It has not been started for about 18 months. Tried to fire it up, nothing. Not surprised really. Carb screws were rounded. Had to drill/grind three off. Inside the carb was green. Fuel smells awful. Cleaned and put it all back together. Will have to drain the tank, fresh fuel, then see if it starts.

Today I put on a central locking switch which has never worked so I can lock doors from in the car. Only been putting it off for 3 yrs. Nice and simple job for a change 😊 Now the door handle has decided to go west

Crawled around under my mother's Mustang. It has had a knocking noise on bumps for a while. I thought it was probably exhaust hitting something. Looks like it's the rear sway bar bushings. If it were a GT I could get an Energy Suspension kit for $40 shipped or so. Being a v6 with a 22mm sway bar, I guess I'll end up at a dealer parts counter. Didn't even see them listed on AutoZone's site for the smaller sway bar.

It’s a V6 who needs a sway bar...

It’s a V6 who needs a sway bar... It barely needs tires. 45,000 miles in 6-7 years, and most of that was going back and forth to work but she retired this year. I'm not even sure why she keeps it, aside from she likes it. I think it has 3,000 miles on it this year. Next year prob 1,500-2,000. To her credit though, I've never seen a car that old look this new. If not for the black panel on the rear that is flaking (thanks Ford) it would be nearly perfect. Never even got lazy and took it through a brush car wash and parks it farther away and alone so it has no swirl marks or dings.

No wrench involved, but I just put a set of PIAA Super Silicone wipers on the truck. I've heard everything from stellar to awful reviews of them, so I'm curious to see how they do for me. Seems like cheating to require application of basically Rain-X along with wiper install.

Finally replaced the stabilizer bar links on my mother's Mustang. No more knock. I ran it up to the speed limiter and took a turn at about 90 strictly for test purposes. Had a farmer pull out of a driveway in front of me at over 100. Checked the brakes for her too. I like to be thorough. This is all made up of course. I would never actually drive in such a manner. Turn those reds and blues off.

Today I bodged some clips on the heat shield after it had driven me mad rattling all the time from when I went through a big puddle in the floods. I should have known it was there as the river always bursts its bank where it bend 3 ft from the road , wont forget again in the future.

It was one of those days. Did an oil change on the F-150 and Altima. First oil change on the F-150. Turns out I put a jack stand where an oil catch pan needed to be. Thought I could just hold it up to catch it anyway. Wrong. Made a puddle of oil about 10'x3-4'. Had to go get 25lb of kitty litter. Cleaned up enough to back out without tracking oil on the tires. Cleaned the rest. Pulled back in, jacked it back up and finished up by putting the undercarriage panels back on.
