Swapped the left ball joint on my Toyota Tacoma, number 3 on this one (2 left,1 right), it eats em for some reason on both sides. Actually snapped the right one a couple years ago at low speed about a mile from my house. It was squeaking pretty bad for about a month before it snapped, now I swap em any time they get noisy at all haha.

Minnesota roads. You get cars 15 years old around here and its 50/50 if the stabilizers are shot. Its usually the bolts that tie them to the control arm or axle that gives though.

My F150's tie rod ends didn't have them either. Bought a set with grease zerks and never had a problem... with those anyway. That project's on the back burner though...

The OEM and component manufacturers seemed to have varying opinions on longevity with greased -vs- sealed components. That little ring of dirt around the grease zerk check ball can cause problems. It gets even worse when people don't even clean off the zerk before greasing. The result is that most things like U-joints and ball-type joints are sealed.

Changed the oil in my Tundra, 9 qts of Mobil 1. This can get pricey. Installed a roll up tonneau cover and filled the tank.

Guy at work milled a new blower bracket for my car. Spring is (hopefully) right around the corner, and it's time to get this all put back together again. Last year I put 6000 twisty miles on my car in a one-month-long trip ripping down through the Smokey Mountains and hitting all the crazy ride loops, Dragon included. This was right after I replaced the engine cuz the previous one blew. Everything required some big time maintenance once I got back home. Luckily the original bracket held up until I got back, and _then_ it broke. Phew. Once the new one is back on, fresh rubber and we're ready to terrorize the roads again.

(Little fib in the spirit of the post: I put the blower bracket together yesterday evening, not wrenched "today"). This is hot off the press: Re-install blower assembly Re-install aftercooler Just need to re-attach the oil return line to the oil pan, add after-coolant, then vrum. Neighbors might not be too pleased with that right now, plus there'd be too much temptation to go for a spin on completely shot tires.

Cut the front fenders on my Jeep and installed aluminum inner liners. Took a bit longer than I expected....now I have to get the rears done to make them match.
