An airborne landing keeled over both front struts in the truck last Sunday. If it weren't so damn cold I would've "wrenched" myself, nonetheless, I gave the prognosis to the local shop and they fixed me up. They asked for a youtube video of how it happened, wish someone were recording (Send It haha). Anyhow, here is a true testament how much salt new york state lays on the road year after corrosive year: Next on the list: superbumps!

Oil change and serpentine belt on an Altima along with fluid and tire pressure checks, wash and vacuum. Meh.

Serviced the brakes on the Honda CB600. Riding to work nearly every day through the winter has taken its toll. One sticky caliper, and lots of salt corrosion. Rear pads are low so will need doing soon. Was the hottest day so far 77°F. Made working outside very nice indeed.

Today I wrench on my sons motorbike taking the rear wheel in and out 3 times once to free the siezed brake cam done by living on the coast and not greasing it, out again when I could not get the brake arm on as the cam was pushing into the drum and thirdly to re align the brake arm so pedal travel was not excessive. This sat on a cushion in the rain. Still feeling the aches 8 hrs later

Replaced the vacuum petcock with a manual and re-jetted the carb. Went from 115 to 125 main jet....probably went to far...

Replaced the vacuum petcock with a manual and re-jetted the carb. Went from 115 to 125 main jet....probably went to far... Sometimes I hate being right....I didn't believe that 125 was too much, and when it didn't run smooth...I went to 135..barely got around the block...I guess it is happy at 115...and I am tired of swapping jets.
Question: I rode about 50 miles...when coming home running up and down hills against the wind the bike would loose power until I rolled back on the throttle....I was getting low on fuel (less than 1/4 tank) - this is a gravity feed system.
Is it possible that it wouldn't flow enough fuel to keep the engine fed at WOT?
I got home refueled and it seems OK.

Well, re-jetted (twice) today....seems to really like 115 main and a 38 idle.

Installed the new starter on the xs400 only to find the battery took a crap But if did get the master cyl cleaned out and the brake line seems clear but the seals on the vacuum bleeder are bad so I’ll have to wait to bleed the brake and see if the ,aster and caliper are good

well I used a wrench to take apart the backpack sprayer, so I could get it going well enough to seal some concrete.

My recently acquired Volvo 740 which i will be driving to siberia with a friend at the end of the summer. Read error codes, faulty oxigen sensor, removed towing hook because we're selling it and removed the front and rear seats to be swapped over with 850/V70 seats. Soon it'll get a new timing belt, waterpump, tires, oil+filter, trans+axle oil and cooling system flush.

I got my bosses lawnmower running. New plug, air filter, gas and oil. I did what I would do on a scooter Checked spark, compression and fuel. I changed everything to new because it was 3 years old and had never been touched. She had put some red stuff in the fuel tank so I drained it. still no start so I pulled the plastics and the carb. pulled the fuel tank and cleaned it. Pulled the jets and cleaned them. When I say pulled I mean pulled. They have 3 screws on the plastics and 4 on the air filter housing. The carb is all plastic and the jets are in a all in one piece that pulls out. Put it together and it started right up. Washed it off and it was ready to do its job.

I know what you mean about smaller hands. Dealing with Chinese and Asian stuff has always been a nightmare. They can pack 10 pounds of crap in a two pound box and still work on it.
I helped on an engine upgrade for a neon. Mostly all I did was provide moral support. My hands are pretty useless for helping due to the shakes.
