And yet you still bought it as do others which is why they keep making them. Even if you returned the whole thing and got a complete refund one hundred others wouldn’t bother so the manufacturer still comes out ahead.

I looked at alternatives and they were crap also. Some brands I had experience with that were supposed to be good USA brands but I knew them to be crap and higher priced also. What I need to do is get my machine shop up and running so I can fabricate, modify, and machine parts again. There are several parts on this trike that are 'marked' for a remake already. So what can one do? I buy the piece of crap and know that I will have to refurbish it. Sometimes the magnitude of refurbishment just gets overwhelming especially with health issues. Buying almost anything these days is a hassle in the long run.

My China scoot was the only one I could find with two front wheels. It is still a poor and HEAVY design and the two front wheels increase drag a lot. Delta configuration scoots with two rear wheels are very dangerous, nothing to ride at any speed on. I will have to limit my speed on my E-trike since it is also inherently dangerous. I could not find two front wheels on anything but tadpole trikes. I could not figure out how to electrify a tadpole easily. Plus the tadpole suspension designs have not come up to my engineering standards yet. They are also extremely expensive, way way beyond my means. I need some mild exercise and a way to get there which is why I have my E-trike. I do need a bicycle helmet or maybe I should just look stupid and use my full-face scoot helmet. It would keep bugs out of my eyes...
P.S. The scoot helmet would have the added bonus of keeping women away...

My favorite steel mill photo-op location was already cast by shadow by the time everything was put back together today. The rest of this week is predicted to be crap weather, so I ended up just driving around for a couple hours and enjoying the weather. Someone honked their horn for a long time after I passed them because they were upset that they weren't having as much fun as me. Yeah yeah, passing on a double, don't ruin such a beautiful twisty road!

Ahw crap, that was supposed to be posted in the "wrench on" thread, not the "work on" thread. Broken theme. For what it's worth, the hood/bonnet has been off the car for a month for paint.

Very nice ride. All I wrenched on was modifying a Havahart animal trap to make it a little better and easier to use. Adding a rear door to make it easier to bait and release the animal. More like the U 00 Unobtainium Horrible Freight traps that cost half as much. I am still dealing with feral cats. I have managed to tame two males but the females are wild. They are facing 'transportation' to Australia... A friend has barn cats. They want kittens but I don't. I am still trying to sort out a crooked rear wheel on the E-trike. Getting spokes adjusted is not working with the 'stroke brain' and ET even with DBS. The battery charger system is 'working'. I may add a front battery voltage display since the battery level indicators built into the thumb throttle are bogus. More Zip-ties. Even thought about a: www.kingsmotorbikes.com/products/gastrike-79cc-trike-engine-kit-gas-motorized-bicycleTo increase the range, but I have doubts about using the 'Pineapple Bushing Kit' supplied and losing the rear basket space. I also have a severe lack of funds, and the other types of trike kits look like severe kluge operations mounted on the front wheel or in front of the seat. I need to quit building and modifying and just ride the damn thing. There is an old joke about: "There comes a time in every project when you have to shoot the Engineer and start production." I was worried about riding in the summer heat but I am already looking at riding in the snow... My scoot gear will work for that.

There is an old joke about: "There comes a time in every project when you have to shoot the Engineer and start production." Haven't heard that exact phrasing but reminded to keep answering "what does done mean." Usually it is when the money is gone.

21:45 and just finished changing oil and filter on car took 20mins from opening door at workshop the rest that took longer was refilling the oil running up to fill filter and letting settle before checking dipstick level. Another half hour on scooter to re position the rear brake lever then home to finish my book and bed.

No pictures just talk to text. I cleaned all the carbon off of my piston from the Palini kit. I got the ring lens cleaned out and the rings move freely again. My coworker has a cylinder home he’s going to do a light hone or I will in order to clean up the scrape in the side of the cylinder wall. I’m actually have a running motor bike by 9 PM tomorrow night
