Nothing to exciting but started to fab some of the tabs and brackets needed for the build. A couple of brackets for the drag brace and some large brackets that are part of the motor mount system. Dude, I need a bracket like that. You feel like making anymore?

lilpinny unfortunately I don't have time. Lately it's been hard to find time to work on my own project. Hopefully this weekend I can get back out in the shop and continue on the motor mount.

The 1 inch square tubing will bolt to the Honda Ruckus frame allowing me to use the stock frame bushings. End caps were cut, drilled and a nut welded in place. The cap was then welded to the end of the square tube.

In the shop again today for a little work on the Ruck. I tacked the motor mount together. Now I need to test fit before final welding. I also welded the drag brace tabs to the seat frame.

Welded the brackets to the rear frame today. The motor mount links will bolt to these tabs. Test fit the motor mount. It looks like the motor is centered and positioned well. I'll pull the mount back out and finish the welding.

Dude, that engine looks like it fits really nice in there. I was expecting it to be stretched way out. I know the common trend is to stretch the Ruckus way out but I sort of like the rear wheel tucked under there a little more like factory. Maybe I should start looking for a Ruck, this is giving me evil thoughts.

Yeah there aren't many around since the Grom craze has started. Also whenever a Ruck comes up on CL usually the price is outrageous.

Maybe I should start looking for a Ruck, this is giving me evil thoughts. I agree! I'm thinking about one too, however i may go the route of buying both halves of the frame and working up from there. There's only one ruck for sale in my area not from a dealership and they want $3700 for an o9 with 1600 miles clocked. Its not even dressed or built up, just bone stock. And i hijacked the thread. Mr Tydeancustoms, i love the amazing detail you show in your build here, and this is such a great insight to a less than traditional workup of a ruck! I really enjoy builds that go beyond bolt-ons because of the magic trickery a good fabricator can accomplish!
