Started a swap on another Ruck. Just like my previous builds the Ruck will be getting a CN250 from a Honda Helix. This build will be our third CN250 swap....probably not the last. Picture of our previous builds. Here is the Ruck I will be swapping. I have already disassembled the Ruck and sold off most of the parts not needed for the swap. Stripped down to the frame. Donor bike. Not pretty but low miles, it runs and it was cheap.

I'm glad to get to watch one of these swaps happen.
Just curious; how do you ride them? I know, WOT and on the back wheel usually... but I mean do you ride them under 50cc registration or are they tagged as motorcycles?

Ever since hearing about and seeing a helix naked style scoot I have wanted one. But I think I like these Ruck Swaps even better!

Modifications to front and rear frame. Cleaned up the rear frame, removed all of the tabs, brackets and one cross member. Front frame was reshaped to flow better with the new gas tank cover.

What kinda top speed have you seen with these 250 swaps?

I'm sure the top speed is impressive but I didn't build these bikes with top speed in mind. I've had the bike up to 65 MPH which is as fast as I care to go on a small bike like the Ruck. The Helix does 70 MPH, the Ruck is much lighter so I would guess 75 MPH+ is possible.
The stock Ruck motor was almost a danger due to it's lack of power. I wanted a bike that could accelerate fast, keep up with traffic and not lose speed when going up hills. The CN250 allows us to do all of those things.

Front end kit for the new build. I plan to use the stock Helix front wheel. Once I mock-up the front end and I'll take a picture.

Heck I would be happy with a nice helix. Every time a nice one pops up I end up missing it. The last one was half mile from home. They were pushing it out for sale and I was headed to the house with groceries for supper. I dropped them off and went back to look at it and it was already sold. White and spotless other than barn dust, 1500 miles and they sold it for 700 in 10 min on a back road. At least now I know what to do if I find one with a trashed body
