I have a big enough compressor to use a HPLV gun and It's time I move away from rattle cans.

I'm going to try and power it directly from the battery, that should do it, I just need to find a switch and relay. I see that. Have you tested it with another 35 watt bulb. You should be getting about 13 volts there.

Well we went to get coffee and all went well. I need to do some CVT service and tune in the carb. The headlight draws power off the system and causes the turn signals to not be happy. I also lost the right side, I think a bad switch. Time to replace all of them. When I got there the kill switch wouldn't work so I pulled the spark plug boot off. Here are some pictures:
I put the old S50 seat on it to add to the rat look. The rear tire is almost gone so I'll pull a tire out of my old tire pile to put on it. It was the continental Zippy off the ET4.

I kept my gloves on and didn't touch the scooter. But I did imagine that happening.

So today after riding the Sacarbeo for coffee I got down to working on the back end of the ET2. I want to pull the engine and give it a good cleaning and mount the Gianelli Reverse exhaust on it. First was pulling the old exhaust then the wheel so it could get a new tire. I found this when I went to the wheel: More PBBlaster and off came the cotter pin and cap. Then I got out the impact gun for the nut. I was expecting It to be frozen and applied PB liberally, hit the trigger and off it came. The wheel slid right off and I was amazed at how clean the splines were. I pulled the old original Pirrelli of and low and behold the rotation was backwards. It came off well and the clean Zippy went on. You change enough tires and it gets pretty easy. It's always easier in the summer when the rubber is soft though. New Old These Zippy's are nice looking tires. Then the last thing was the frozen screw o the air box. It sticks out into the wheel area. I put to nuts on and tried screwing it out that way and the thread stripped. I then went at it with vice grips and really didn't have room to work. Tomorrow I'll get a Dremel and cut the damn thing off. I then thought I'd play with the exhaust and see how it fit. Like a glove. They say these do okay with 50cc's, I'll see how that goes. I'm not quite ready for the BBK, I can't decide what I want.

What is the wattage on that new light? I'd keep an eye on the voltage regulator.

Sorted out the bits pinkscoot and boxed pm an address I will send them before the Xmas rush. So these arrived yesterday, even though they were addressed to Pink Scoot. My UPS guy is probably curious. They are perfect and will dress this rat scoot up a little.

So on the last days of my week off I got this all back together and started tuning it in. While I had the engine out I replaced the oil lines and belt. I can see where the oil is now. I put some more premix in so it is smoking a bit. When the oil gets to the carb I'll dilute it with straight gas. I did find some interesting things while I was cleaning and I'll show them below. The carb had an 87 jet so I thought I would go to 90. it was pig rich: I went down to 84 and still rough so I went back to the 87 and it was better. I then raised the needle and it was better. took it for a ride and RPM's were just into the 7500 range. I suspect someone had been in and played because these are stock 76 main. I may try 80 and keep the needle up. I also got the CHT mounted on it so I can keep an eye on things. I'm thinking I may switch to a 19mm Phbg carb just to prepare for the 70cc kit. But let me see where I get with the 12mm I have. The Malossi one looks like it might be a nice way to go, it has a choke kit and plugs to open the air box. It also has the adjustments on the opposite side so that I can more easily tune the carb. Next I went down to 5.5 grams and it would kiss 8000 rpm. I went to a slightly heavier clutch spring and take off was good but I still only hit 8000 rpm. I'm not quite hitting the pipe. Next tome I'm in I'll try 5 grams. While I was in there I serviced the clutch and it helped the ride. I got Millys parts and will put them on when I get my scooterpartsco order wit switches and other parts. The exciter plate on the flywheel was a little rusty so it got some cleaning. The 17 year old grease got replacing and it operates much smoother. The head had this oil residue on it. It looks like the spark plug was leaking. I cleaned it and will keep an eye on fresh leakage.
I look forward to getting back to this scoot when work dies again.

Is it still as fast as the night I was there. You got a good rip out of it that night. If I could see thru the helmet sure the smile was ear to ear. Can't wait to see it all together.
Glad you found ur dream.

I forgot to mention that the 45mph indicated was with the stock CVT. I definitely think this scoot has the overhang kit in its future.
