Make sure that the 48mm diameter dimension is a press fit for the original Zuma lower steering stem race. Mine was too tight and I had to do some 'trimming' to get the race to press in. If I remember correctly, you can reuse all of the original Razz hardware for the top. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to answer them.

So did that pulley swap do anything for your mid range bog? did u solve it any other way? YES!!!! Any/every minarelli enthusiast should consider the NCY adjustable rear pulley. It took a painful 4-5 seconds for the stock bugeye pulley to shift. I installed the Adjustable pulley with the ramps set at the least restrictive angle ( Most straight up/down, perpendicular to the pulley face ). Along with the pulley, I also installed a Top Performance Variator and new belt, but I do not suspect the night and day difference to be on the variator swap, it was the pulley that made the biggest improvement. Now, it just pulls and pulls. There is no hesitation like the motor is fighting anything. I cannot recommend the NCY adjustable pulley enough. I already bought another pulley for my vino clone build AND I convinced the new owner of my old hotrod spree to buy one as well. If you want to go a step further, NCY also sells a ball bearing outer sheath. I'm impressed with its ability to reduce binding of the contra spring, I probably should have bought a few more of those for future builds. Anyways, if you care enough about performance AND have a motor that has enough power to handle the secondary pulley opening sooner, I highly recommend the NCY pulley. Best bang for the buck CVT mod I've done! If you are on the fence, I hope this helps convince you!

I have the NCY ball bearing torsion controller for the contra spring. I like it. I like that one versus the Malossi plastic one.

Like the Honda Express that I built, I've always had a little trouble gelling with the Razz.
So...I took it apart ( again! ).
The engine donated it's rear pulley to my newly re-acquired Venice. The carb has been repurposed to the my naked Venice build. The intake, CDI, and stator is going to be repurposed to a 1pe40qmb quad project.
What will happen with the Razz? I have no idea. The ergonomics and tall ride height, along with the NLA big brake kits for the Bug-eye front end take this build out of contention for high performance usage. At this point, I am moving forward with:
-Enjoying Venice #2, my reliable street scoot. -Continuing the Naked Venice kart track build.

I pulled in the Razz from the backyard. I had a long shock from the spree build and wanted to experiment to see if I could get the seat height and ride height lower. The custom motor mount and shock mount make this awkwardly tall. I slid the forks low and used the original razz upper shock mount. I also bolted the seat to a bracket that makes it a little lower too. I am thinking about getting a highway bar across the front most foot pad area and cutting off the rear mounts. We'll see. This has basically turned into the 'Spare Parts' build. All of the good stuff has been repurposed to more ergonomic builds.
