How ya all doin
Picked up a 2000 Zuma, was gonna fix up a little scoot for the wife.
I knew was buyn a non runner, mechanically looked ok, plastics....Hmmm i mean duct tape was nice but less then desired
Once down to the frame, happy with it...Brakes good, cables all good
Tore it down right away, motor, was cooked,
Have a 70 big bore in the mail somewhere, hope to have it this week
Cleaned up the case and painted,
So no motor to play with, plastics junk except for seat surround, started lookin around at what junk i had to rebuild this thing
My winter project was making a Naked Goldwing out of a 83 Honda Aspencede. So the thought process started
Im trying to think of a way to work in the Aspencades front fender....Still in process, gonna take some cutting and trickery
Main problem was the fairing and all the wireing to hide
Hmmm, nows where gets interesting, held up the back fender from the Aspencade....Yup, i think i can make it work!!!
So, after cutting it to go around neck, i now have a mess of wires to deal with
Been visually thinkin with all my parts from the Aspencade
the big Zuma mudflap/fender, gone and replaced with a section of theHondas back fender
Still have a few other pieces im thinkin working in, startin to get a Streetfighter feel to it
May build a nifty place for her to carry her purse, not putting belly or floor back, going to cut the floor supports off and put foot pegs on, so the Honda had these nifty louvered side panels.....
ground all the clips and stuff off the handlebars, naked bars
So after 2 weekends this is where it stands as of now
Going for a mainly black all painted with Box liner for a pebbled feel, more steel then plastic
with some burnt copper accents
This is a budget build so recycling is playing a huge part in the build. Running into a few issues already, so I may be looking to the experts for some help along the way
