Nice scoot. I like flat floorboards on scooters. Good modding. :thumb:

Glad you're making yourself at home here. ;D
I like the scoot. You definitely picked the best color scheme I've seen on the VIPs! Nice work on the mods.

well I'm finally getting around to working on this project again. as some of you know i hit 3500 miles and the thing took a dump on me. first i had to clean the carb every time i wanted to ride it, and now not even that is working. so i decided that I'm gonna throw a bunch of money at it and see what happens  so far i have scrappies stage 4 kit coming in the mail www.scrappydogscooters.com/139QMB_50cc_Performance.html can you guys think of anything else that might be worthwhile to add to the kit?

Oh boy! ;D I'll gladly help you spend your money. :disco:
I'd add in a selection of jets and a free flow filter. It looks like the carb in the kit has no accelerator pump. If you end up not liking it, consider a different carb with an accelerator pump. I always had better luck with a crisp throttle using the stock carb w/pump vs the 150 carb I had w/o pump. Scrappy sells some larger carbs that offer accelerator pumps too. Maybe you won't have any trouble though.

 alright, a selection of jets. i have #50 stamped on the top of the stock carb is that the jet size or.... if you had to choose which jets would you suggest?

I was using somewhere around 105 IIRC when I had a 150 carb on my 80cc. 95, 100, 105, 110, 115 would be my guess for what I'd call a small selection. I'm one of those folks that doesn't feel safe unless I have a huge range of jets so I'd order a lot more than that. lol
While I'm at it, I was quite pleased with the addition of a cam in my QMB. It definitely helped at higher revs. Another thing that may be worth your money if you wanna go faster are upgears. Those can always be done later though, not like they're in the engine where you'll be working.

Ooooh! Shiny! I like the new style belt cover. Looks like it will fit any 139QMB. Good luck with all the mods.

OK, so I'm starting to tear down the scoot and so far i have all the plastic off when the disease hits me. i didn't know there was a name for it until i saw it being described in some motorcycle column i was reading not to long ago. the "while I'm in there disease" is what they called it. i thought it describes the situation i always seem to find myself in. i know some (if not most) of you know what I'm talking about.... neways i was wondering how different the 150 front forks are to ours? or to be more specific the 16" wheeled 150 forks. now that i have all the body work off it i think i wanna chop it out, and i think if i give the front a little bit more rake and a 16" wheel. and lower the rear with (maby) a fat tire kit. i could really nail the stance.
