Anyone have a Suzuki Address V50 4 stroke? I've recently purchased one and am hoping to get her going past 50kph without spending a fortune. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome Nox! Is this the same Suzuki Address from FB? If so, maybe Raizer can give a bit of advice. He's in the same hemisphere, and has some experience with Suzukis, even if they're 2-strokes.

Think these have a limiter ring in the variator, that'd be the first thing I'd check also measure the width of the belt, if it's warn it'll slow you down.
After market overange variators can be had for them too. No idea if the CDI is limited in the 4t, probably won't be pulling enough rpm to hit the limiter though.

Thanks guys. This is indeed the same Suzuki Address seen on Facebook, I took the advice and joined the forum. I can't seem to find many aftermarket parts for my scooter in New Zealand, so it looks like I may have to purchase some elsewhere. I'm thinking about purchasing a xenon light for my scoot too, if I can find one that's suitable! Someone who has had a decent ride on it said he could feel the limitation, so I'm assuming the CDI will be limited since it's a 2015 Japanese scooter.

The other rider probably felt the transmission not getting to do everything it could. Taking the restriction washer out will let the belt get to the top of the variator. That means you can’t get all of the speed out of it.
I remember a thread where the OP stated that he thought the Suzuki CDI was restricted, but Raizer is correct that you need to hit the limit before it’s a problem.
You can order stuff off of eBay Japan or Yahoo Auctions Japan using Buyee as a freight forwarder.

Yeah, I can't feel what he was talking about myself as I'm completely new to scooters, so I don't know how a derestricted scooter or one performing at its full potential should feel to ride. Thanks for the sites, would you also recommend aliexpress?

It's been explained to you on Moped NZ a few times by several people. You're not going to be reaching the CDI limiter so don't worry about changing CDI yet. You need to remove the restriction ring from the variator and possibly try different roller weights or better yet buy a good quality aftermarket variator (not from AliExpress etc).

Your engine is an SEP (SUZUKI ECO PERFORMANCE) engine, made with the focus on fuel economy, not performance. The plus for you is that the fuel injection will handle any changes you throw at it, so you won't have to worry about re-jetting a carb or anything like that. Speaking of worry, I wouldn't be too hesitant to open up the transmission cover and swap parts out; this is Engine Shop Class 101. Easy enough for my 8- and 10-year old daughters to help me with. The drive-train is only slightly more complicated than a bicycle, and once the nuts on the clutch and variator are taken off the first time, they are easily changed out with basic hand tools. A variatior/clutch holder is the only specialized tool needed and costs <$20 US. Honestly, electrical problems in these bikes are far harder to diagnose. The NR Magic Pulley (variator), and Kitaco clutch with a Daytona belt and a set of weights to play with will likely get you more speed, and definitely quicker acceleration (all available on Webike). The best advise I ever got with these was to make one change at a time. Evaluate, then do the next change. Otherwise you'll have a much harder time figuring out what is effecting what. Go get your sockets and get wrenching !
