Im thinking that red stuff may have been from the car wash? I know when I use the self wash up the street, sometimes I'll have that colored liquid on parts that didnt get rinsed off good enough.

Hey guys. I didn't know about starting another mina thread, so i just thought i'd bring this one back... Can you tell the difference ona "1E41QMA" engine vs the "1P40QMB", besides the obvious number difference. And could you verify the "flywheel puller" size?... I got a measurement of around 26mm on the flywhhel itself. So, i need a 27mm flywheel puller for the mina engines?.. The kymco zx uses a 24mm. I know scrappy sells 1 but i'm not sure of the size of it ATM. I think it's going to need bearings. Somethin broke somewhere to rip a "hole" thru the seal, seeing metal dust. It did have a 7 plug in for some reason. Thanks for any input you have on the mina's....

I don't know anything about the 1E41QMA. I tried searching and nothing of any use comes up. I assume it's a 41mm bore. Otherwise, no clue.
Flywheel puller = 27mm x 1.0 LH. PFS sells a multi thread puller. Comes in handy if you work on scoots much. It's a little more than just picking up the individual puller though.

Hey guys, thanks for the replys.. I tried measuring the I.D of the cylinder and it comes to 39.9?. The side of the cylinder has a "LINHAI 1E40FM" stamp on it. I took a some pics of it, i found a mess... The belt is a athena brand but the size is wierd. It's a 16.6*8*795. The #'s seem backwards or something.... This is on a "marshin" brand scooter. They are popular up here with the "VIP'S" and "GATORS".. Something definately broke. Metal is VERY much visible. Pics to follow.. Thanks for any other words of wisdom

That be the one. ;D The one reveeen posted is really nice. I keep saying I'm gonna get a kit like that, but I never do.
Maybe it's just some other form of a 1E40FM then or maybe it's been modded (doubt any came with Athena belts).

The one reveeen posted is really nice. I keep saying I'm gonna get a kit like that, but I never do. Benefits of being an old retired (retarded?) poop. I can get Athena belts cheap (from Parts Canada) but everyone I have bought just didn't work out..... you look up the application, buy the belt, but it's off in one, or more, dimensions.

The stock pistons do have ports like that. You've got quite a mess to look over.

YEah, i guess you seen the metal pieces. I'm going to HAVE to split the cases. I am assuming the bearings went out?? Lord knows ive not got enough experiance getting them back together yet..lol So i wonder if This is the right piston kit... www.partsforscooters.com/161-90?sc=2&category=124313

If you look at the specifications tabs it'll give you some stuff to measure to be sure.

Hey 90GT. I gotta question for you.... On the "starter clutch assembly", If the "wieght"/"bearing" keeps falling out.(2 out of the 3 WILL NOT stay in). Is that a sign that it needs replacing?.. I see they make 2 of these as well.(type 1 and type 2? ) Can you verify this is correct?? I measured and i get this one here. www.partsforscooters.com/161-30-Starter-Clutch-Plate?sc=9&category=489If you hold the plate in your hand, the bearings fall out by them selves. HOw can you tell this part is worn out? Will that cause the starter to "slip" and "grind" instead of turning over to start?.. The gears look fine, the starter looks fine as well Thanks for any input....

I'd think that would mean the springs are worn out and not putting enough pressure on the weights to keep 'em in position or something else is worn so it's falling out. Dunno where you'd ever find replacements for those, so the easy and safe bet would prob be to replace the whole deal.
Type 1 is small spline, type 2 is large on PFS. Measure across the splines to be sure. 1 is 13mm, 2 is 16mm.
