Shit happens I guess. I am going to miss Scrappys as they always had whatever small part you needed for your scoot, no matter how obscure. I have ordered from them probably about 10 times over the years with no issues. It is a terrible thing when a business fails, but, it happens a lot. That is the nature of business. Some win, most lose. Look at Sears for crying out loud. An Icon in both the brick and mortar stores and catalog industries. Yet, they say they were destroyed by the internet. Really? The internet is nothing more than an updated version of their catalog sales in which they ruled for over 100 years! Maybe they should have pioneered internet sales? Maybe they should have at least jumped on board? Nope. they decided not to and now they are gone. It happens is all I am saying.

NO affiliation or inside information, but FWIW . . . Click on "ACTIVE BUSINESS LICENSES MAY 2018" That doesn't mean much of anything, business licenses are generally good for at least one year, if not two, and as long as the nominal fee was/is paid it's still considered "active"

Sears is just piss poor management. K mart was making a comeback till the sears merger the original plan was to have the Kmart leadership run it but that didn’t last long at all Then the sears management stepped in and started to dismantle the company take pay and benefits away from the employees Their thought was to drop the income at stores to try and get new terms on the leases but that didn’t work just forcing the company to close stores

Actually, they were in the picture taking industry and should have invented digital photography or, at the very least, embraced it and been a front runner. But, they chose not to and now are gone too. It is like Lee Iaccoca said, You either lead, follow, or get out of the way. This is business school 101 and so many CEO's just do not get it. Just like Fruit Of the Loom, which was founded here in the town where I live. (I actually work in the original building they built in 1941) Their CEO (Farley) thought it would be a great idea to have everything produced in Mexico for 1/10th the cost even though the quality was about 1/100th. They fired almost all production workers and now wonder why sales are down, down, down. They have not been the same company since and will probably go the way of Sears, Kodak and Kmart. It is a real shame to lose these American icons but, other new start-up companies run by smarter people will take up the slack. Bill

What's hilarious about Kodak is that they actually invented the self contained digital camera

Utah state business license . . Registration Date: 04/02/2018. "Don't know what we don't know" . . but state and city business licenses, and apparently leasing commercial real estate, would seem to indicate at least an intent to re-boot the business.

Even if that was what you think it might represent, you REALLY would want to give your credit card/payment to a guy who for MONTHS has skipped town leaving scores of people with no parts they ordered, did not respond to emails or calls, whose ebay page is gone and even ignored my PayPal and Visa card disputes which went unanswered? There could be many reasons for a renewal, including an automatic renewal, or plans to sell the entity 4/2 was almost 3 months ago and I've ordered $80 worth of parts in mid May I never got. Their address keeps changing every time I look in here, first it's ST George, then it's Las Vegas, now it's Veyo, UT, that doesn't look suspicious to you either? imgur.com/a/HDqE5VAimgur.com/a/G5ImOQNA lease generally must be paid off to the end even if the tenant decides to leave, or they can be sued for the remaining rent due on the lease, he could have had a 2 or 5 year lease. I got a refund from my cards, and I purchased and rec'd all the parts I ordered from the scooter parts outfit TaoTao's own web site refers people to for parts; partskit.com/ TaoTao has a link to "EagleATV" which is partskit.com which says 100% of all parts available right here in the USA. No waiting for the slow boat from China. The fact that the manufacturer has this link for parts to me is significant;imgur.com/a/8REBMpb

What's hilarious about Kodak is that they actually invented the self contained digital camera Ha ha, I did not know that. This makes it even worse because I heard their CEO complaining a while back that digital photography was putting them out of business. So, they had this great invention, patents, and a jump on their competition and...they still blew it? Thanks for this info, I just looked it up as well and I still can not believe this. I love learning new stuff. Thanks, Bill

Just ordered more parts from partskit, they carry ALL of the plastic body parts that fit my TaoTao Speedy 50, so I ordered the two pieces I've tried in vein to replace before, wound up with one that totally didnt fit, another that did fit already had a small crack in it near the scre hole and when I installed it it cracked completely. NOW I'll have the OEM plastics, including the critical headlight housing and as long as I bought the housing I decided to get a new headlight and cable for it, along with a new coil/plug wire imgur.com/a/iiYlRtj

Thanks, Bill I was an early adopted, film and developing costs were murder, I bought a film scannner and when that died I went full digital, only time I wish I had film gear is for black and white.

Well shit, I just placed an order for a BBK from them this morning. The transaction went though with PayPal so I guess I will call them later and try and get my money back.

Just my humble opinion but, IF they are indeed closed and still taking orders, I would think that crosses over into fraud territory. I am not claiming this is the case, I have no idea but taking orders for thing you have no intention of ever shipping is fraud and more than just "going out of business."
Maybe they are just moving? If so, they probably should have advertised that and closed, moved, then opened at the new location to make as smooth a transition as possible. I guess time will tell as to what is really going on.

I'd say moving to another town and getting a business license under a new name would be an indication that they intend to start business again at the very least.
So the question becomes, do they honor commitments made under the old name and company?
