Even for someone who didn’t want to make their own beer those are great plants to set up some privacy. An economic alternative to fencing or large shrubs. And your elderly neighbors will probably think your growing drugs, perfect! I’m thinking about tearing down my grape vines for some hops...

Yeah... the same with a very very very very very very distant second cousin of the plant too. It’s fine if they are just there being still. It’s when you get in there and mess with them and start popping those glands that you get the stink on you that you can’t wash off.

So what can and can't you grow in your garden over there across the pond? Here in Holland you can grow (i think) 5 of em.
Btw, craft beers are since a few years really growing in popularity here in Holland. We have ofcourse belgium right around the corner with the best craft beers in the world. Duvel, tripel Karmeliet and La chouffe are my top three.
Id say eastern europe has the tastiest pilsereners aka normal beers. poland (Zubr), Czech(Pilsener Urquell), Hungary (Soproni).

That shit smells sitting still while flowering haha. The resin heads do tend to be stickier when they're on a live plant, and they reeeaally release that smell when you walk thru em. But they definably have a smell just sitting there untouched. I remember my arm hairs being stuck to my skin just from brushing by em.

Yeah, unless you are in a legal state (which is the entire west coast) you can't have anything. In a legal state it's like 5-6 plants with only 3 flowering... it's all different but that really means you can grow anything.
If you aren't in a legal state, you don't talk about it.

But it does stink you do need to run a can fan with a filter and a few other counter measures. If you get it on you, you can't wash it off. But that's how you know it's good. your problems are heat and stink, but your biggest problem is being noticed.

Fans ("can" fans are a brand name, not bad quality but not pro level) and filters help, but the smell is a HUGE factor, especially around week 6 onward. Custom HVAC with filtration and built-in ozone generators helped, and rooftop ducting outlets were a must. Heat and smell reduction were both part of building the growspace. To get the stink and stickiness off I'd have to use rubbing alcohol and evoo, and gojo afterward. But I pretty much always smelled like it always back then, cuz I was always around it. Man, I miss growing.

Man, I miss growing. With LED lights that don't generate much heat at all you can put it in the closet and crack the door and use the house AC to keep the temp down. You put a fan filter thing back in the closet that just scrubs the air and it's ok. An onapro open outside the closet helps too. I should have said heat, stink and noise are your problems. Growers are the last of the renegades. But pretty soon they won't be criminals anymore.

Growers are the last of the renegades. But pretty soon they won't be criminals anymore. Our NY state governor tried to pass a bill to legalize this year. I can't believe the outcry it caused, damn ridiculous if you ask me. Mostly from the cop crowd. Sorry to offend anyone if you are or know anyone affiliated (I do) but what a cancer on society. I've had so many assholes with a chip on their shoulder get right in my face for really stupid shit all throughout my life. But I will say this, city of Syracuse cops really are taking care of things that do matter, and I commend them for that. They have pulled me over for hotdogging what/not and just my normal driving, but they usually just say "take it easy." "Thank you sir, you take it easy too!!"
