When I was in Washington I was involved with several big legal grow operations. It was a great part of my life. I started out building growrooms. Basically, building proper rooms for collectives and single patients. I have vids, but I don't think I should post em haha.

With LED lights that don't generate much heat at all you can put it in the closet and crack the door and use the house AC to keep the temp down. You put a fan filter thing back in the closet that just scrubs the air and it's ok. An onapro open outside the closet helps too. I should have said heat, stink and noise are your problems. Growers are the last of the renegades. But pretty soon they won't be criminals anymore. this can get you a crop, but more than a couple runs like this and your asking for mold. Not on the plants or in your walls necessarily, but definitely your lungs. Cannabis drinks and sweats lots of water. If you don't evacuate that moist air your asking for mold and fungal spores. A single grow takes a minimum of 3 months with cloning, vegging, and flowering. That's 3 months of moist air to live in. I never caught on to LEDs. I didn't like the penetration and I also didn't like the whole 'no heat' thing. Cannabis needs to be around 70f-80f to do well, and that kind of heat is easily generated by a couple of 600w or 1000w hids. With LEDs you need to start turning on the heater. The soil is around 5-10f cooler than the growroom, and cannabis roots absorb nutrients best at 60-70f. The heat also helps to combat mold and moisture.

Well this all of a sudden turned into a conversation! I just run 2 or 3 plants through once in a while so respiration is not too much of a problem. Lots of the old timers tell me the LED’s aren’t bright enough but then I’d have to do a ton of heat management that I don’t do now. I don’t want to dig holes through the house to vent. This ain’t my first rodeo, sounds like it’s not your first either. 🤪

For house grows, I always liked basements, attics, or garages. Once, we bought one of those cheap pre-made shed kits that you see outside Lowe's, made a nice little outbuilding. I never liked bedrooms specifically because of airflow, also poor access for electrical. I've seen a couple growrooms built into the utility room areas since they usually have water, power, drainage, and sometimes even ducting for air flow.
My personal favorite was always warehouses. Nice big area with lots of room and space and power and ducting and no neighbors to call the cops on you. Just pull your van right inside and load/unload in privacy.

All I can say is, day-yum! Every year keeps getting lusher. I thought year 3 would be the pinnacle, but nope. I am having to turn on lights inside because direct light is basically all being reflected. Nice to have in the midst of 90F heat waves and no central air.

Keeping this going. End of year 4. Basically in "catch up" mode now. Need to devise a better grow network before they get even more out of hand next year. Not a bad problem to have. Sorry no pics with bikes!

Hey folks, I haven't been a regular here for a few years. Doesn't mean I don't like ya, rather this is probably (still) my favorite forum. Still looking to get a BBK and the only thing holding me back now is my principals in that the price jumped from $300-some to almost $600. Pfff I just need to suck it up and push the checkout button. In the meantime, there were a couple years where I thought the hops were dead. I was actually thinking about growing grape vines this year, but lo-n-behold holy crap. For whatever reason, they took off like mad this year! And it seemed appropriate to post them here. I have been taking a picture from the same viewpoint every Tuesday, rain or shine, to capture the amazing growth rate of these things. I had redone the growing lines since previous posts, which has worked out well. They still run out of room and require some daily training. This may take a bit of re-editing to relearn how to post pics, but here goes: 21-MAY-2024 (sunny): 28-MAY-2024 (rainy): 4-JUN-2024 (sunny): 11-JUN-2024 (overcast):
