Ya I was thinking about doing a rear frame hoop, but I dunno. I like simple haha. This thing is pretty complete and some purist may want it close to stock.
I kinda wish it was a cb650 instead of a cb650 custom, but free is free haha.

It’s your bike do what you want with it. I just cut and put flat caps over the frame opening on mine, no hoop. If yours has the air filled front forks you can lower the air pressure to lower the front. They are fun bikes.

Nope, no air forks. At least I can't find a Schrader valve anywhere. I'm gonna buy a big hex key and take em apart.

I lowered the front, also ordered up 11" rear shocks for the back as well as a carb rebuild kit and handlebars that are motorcycle sized. The TNG Venice bars ain't quite fitting (too narrow).

Looking a lot more sporty already. Dropping the front gives it a much better stance.

Sounds good but I think the hesitation/ stall going full throttle could be the accelerator pump may need to be adjusted, or replaced. It’s a squirt of extra fuel. If your not running the stock filter and boots you’ll have to add fuel. You thought scoot carbs were fun well times that by 4. It’ll pay off in the end 💰.

So, it only has one accelerator pump, on carb 2. In this video the choke is on, it wouldn't run without it because the previous owner had messed around with the carbs. After I took this video, I played with the idle screw and got it to warm up and idle on its own without any popping or idle-hunting. They still leak tho. The previous owner drilled holes in the mufflers and upjetted the carbs so it's crazy loud haha.

I even got to ride around the block tonight. This thing is fast for being so old. Also, it has almost no brakes at all. I trimmed the rear fender a little and moved the taillight up, also removed the turn signals cuz the mounts were rusted out and cracked. I think I'm going to move the turn signals to the fender like a Sportster has. Before After
