New Plans for the Future Maybe?

Well looks like December and January will be a poor month or two for me as most schools dont want cycle training so no work no pay.
I still have the 2  days a week support work which helps which is good. 
So this has got me thinking about an old idea I had a while ago 10yrs in fact and shelved it as the idea got to grandiose . Lots of us doing it etc. Then I got blinkered into the more shoadow puppets and muppet type which I had never had any experience in. ( bit like being able to work on a scooter then think I can repair a NASA spaceship )
I have now come to the conclusion that it is possible and my tax return which is not much could help with the purchase of a tricycle and a few glove puppets.
I first got the idea from this chap in Chicago ( link below as its easier to see what I mean than typing loads ).
I use to run a giant puppets company in the 90's upto about 2005 but 12 foot tall aliens, dragons and similar in length and age started to do us in so we dropped it. 
The idea is to build a tricycle puppet theatre and do glove puppets as it entertains kids and adults alike so I could even work for some of the youth groups I know doing stuff as well as kids parties local events etc. With outside summer events could do simple glove puppet making workshops as an add on. 
I feel this could lead somewhere more enjoyable in my old age. Even a trailer in the future for behind the scooter, or a sidecar

If anyone has any ideas feel free to pass them on

Hmmm, Interesting, I have absolutely no idea how that would work. The 'arts' are mostly beyond my simple mechanical brain.

Ages ago I thought about creating a mobile RC race course using carpet instead of dirt that could be moved around to empty storefronts. Storefronts can sit around for months or even years with no tenant and no income to the landlord. I thought some rent coming in would help but insurance and liability are concerns.

I think part over active brain and part simplification of the original idea FrankenMech .  Conection to people who work with youngsters ie through the schools and couple of youth groups plus my skills from days of making and mending bicycles. Well the blacksmith can do the fabrication but I maybe able to turn one of my old bike sidecars to use if my son still got them. Think you call them side hacks. ( video from a few yrs ago when I had them ).
Then it's practice practice practice with glove puppets. Easy part is the building of things I reckon

Mind you I still have to put pen to paper tonight and work out if this is feasible yetand not just a waste of my supreme being brainpower

Been a while since got on with this but now stopped flipping scooters can start again.

 Aristotle coined the phrase “nature abhors a vacuum,” 
So back to it with a slight change for events.
Gone for marionettes and getting a bit of practice in and untangling of string's and replacement of .
Blacksmith hopefully done sidecar this week and ordered some workspace for events a bit lighter and easier for my old body to handle.

Well things are slowly moving forward. Blacksmith said today MAY finish mounting the sidecar tomorrow afternoon.
I needed to write stories for the puppet shows and drew a blank on that not being my forte.
Today whilst having a coffee and buttie this morning was speaking to a I see regularly in the cafe and about mental block on the subject and she offered to help when back off holiday being as she is a writer of short stories and children's books.
Also said her friend may help who came in a bit later who is a script writer and producer in the film industry.
Must say I am one happy bunny 😊

Thing's are moving forward first showing at the Green Gathering Festival at Chepstow then Robyn one of the puppeteers met a lady director of a Castle at Hay on Wye and wants a video of it with a view to booking us. Also a mate wants us to do one in Aberystwyth. Puppets are coming along Robyn is doing a good job on the 24" tall Jessica puppet and the horse plus back drops and plans for other stuff. Glad I got out of flipping scooters should have done this year's ago.

Thank you aeroxbud today I met with an old friend I not seen since lockdown and he got us a show to do in August and Robyn the other young puppeteer message to say she got a booking or interest from a West Wales wide youth group who I have done stuff before about 10 years ago and Llanarchaeron House national trust place wants us to workshops all a bit daunting all of a sudden best I crack on with everything.😊
