Ok so some background, just rebuilt this 08 keeway as it had no compression. After i got it rebuilt I was able to get it started but only with starting fluid, and only for a couple minutes until it warmed up, then it would die. It is winter here, and only gets to about 30F during the days so it is a little chilly.
My first thought is that it was a broken auto choke, as the carb was tuned to run rich as that was the only way i got it to start, so my thoughts are that if it starts rich but dies it would mean that because the engine is warm it cant use the rich mixture so it dies? (correct me if I'm wrong)
So i got a new carb and auto choke, put it in, and now with the new stuff it wont even stay on, only again starts with starting fluid and now this time dies once its burned off which is pretty much instantly. I was using it without the air-box at first, but have put it back on, but it's now nearly impossible to get starter fluid in the carb and haven't gotten a way to start it with the air-box on.
Fuel is getting to the carb, when the air-box was off putting my hand over the mouth i did get fuel on it, and i did inspect the jets and clean them and as far as I can tell they're clean.
EDIT: Ok, a little update.
Got the bike started (with starting fluid and airbox on), again bike warms up, or a drive down my drive way and dies. This time i tried to start it again right away and was given a click sound and nothing else when cranking it over. Dead battery? Would be weird as Ive been letting it charge all night and it just dies out? Ive been reading about the coil in the magneto being an issue for something like this.

Are we talking a Chinese off brand carb replacement? Or a real name brand carburetor?

Will it run if you throttle the carb with your hand?

Will it run if you throttle the carb with your hand? Ive done a variety of things, but as soon as the starting fluid burns off it dies, doesnt want to stay on at all.

If it runs it,s unlikely to be an ignition problem, watch Brents videos in the tec section to help you,I,d check the fuel system here,s a short cut for you. Drain off the gas you have, check or change any filters, get fresh regular pump gas and use just a litre till it,s fixed, check the petcock works use a jar to catch the gas and suck on the vacuum hose gas should row freely into the jar, reconnect and try that.Your starter system is a separate issue use the kick start till the engine is sorted.keep us posted.

Geoff Has fresh fuel, brand new filters, tested the petcock and it definitely has a good flow of fuel. Also doesn't have a kick start so I'm stuck using electric start sadly.

Does the fuel get into the bowl? Crack the carb drain and see. I'd also check the carb for clogging and clean just in case. Also let us know the jetting in it.

Ive cleaned it many times but ill clean it again. Im getting the exact same symptoms as the other carb so something is telling me this isnt a carb related issue.

Okay, it wasn't mentioned in your previous posts so I thought I'd ask. Probably don't need to clean it again.
So it will idle fine for a while with no interaction, and as soon as you give it a little gas it dies?

Whether thats letting it idle to that temp, or a quick spin down my driveway. Also charged the batter up again to try it out and it no longer clicked after it died, i was able to start it up again but still died a second after starting it again. Dont think its battery related but im focusing in on electrical of some sort. No clue what it could be

Try disconnecting the auto enrichener wire (so it stays open) and see if it dies with the same tests.

Haven't tried that with the new carb (did with the old carb and had the same outcome as with it plugged in, making me think it was the enricher) but ill be sure to try. Possibly bad wiring for the enricher?
