2t Vino would be good. You can do lots with that engine.
If you want new and warranty don’t let the Morini engine scare you though.

That looks like a 4t Vino. Run away.

It's just my tao tao is not running ATM. I'm not sure if I can get it working and I need transportation. And it has to be classified as a 'moped'. Hopefully, I can get the Tao Tao running so I'll have more time. I think I'm getting warmer. I saw this thing for $800. The seller doesn't say the year but said it runs well. But still, not quite a Zuma Ahh, I see. Sorry to hear that. Is that Vino a 2t? Looks like a 4t, but the 2t Vinos are a solid choice. Matt

I don't know if it is 2 or 4 or even what year it is. But yeah, I do not like 4t.

I spent an afternoon chasing Oldgeek on his Vino. He was holding back on me. That scoot did 50 easy. They are fast little scoots when tuned. If it’s 2t it’s a minerelli.
That said, I have several Moroni engined scoots, go fast parts are available you just have fewer choices. If you are someone that has trouble deciding they are perfect. My 2 cents.

I think the one in the photo is a 4 stroke. I found out it is a 2005. I'm still waiting for the seller to confirm. I also think my OP and posting in this section made it seem like I wanted a scoot I could hardcore mod or constantly mod and tune. My bad. In reality, I want/need something that is quality and reliable, that doesn't need to be constantly tuned or need the valves adjusted every 300 miles. Something that allows basic mods to get me to and from at around 55mph-ish top speed but only requires a permit and no insurance. So I figured a 50cc 2t with a 70cc BBK, a pipe, maybe a carb but definitely re-jetting, and some roller/sliders could do it. I weight 230lbs.
I like the idea of of the Zuma though. The super mod-able part sounds good but I need something by the end of this coming week. I could see picking one up down the road as a project.

You're not gonna have particularly reliable once you build it to go 55. That is if you mean a real 55 and not a speedometer 55.

Dang, you know I think I'm going to look at a 125cc 2t and just register it as a 50.

The only big 2T's I know of are the Genuine Buck-Ten and vintage Vespa's. The Buck-Tens are rare as hens teeth and the Vespas are pricey. If you want reliable get the new TGB and tune it. You'll probably get 40-45 out of it with stoke bore and possibly some up-gearing.

I got a tgb and it's been great performance parts are slim but over all a good scoot,I turned my to a liquid cooled and then back to a polini Corsa air cooled only thing I don't like is the way the intake is located underneath the engine mount so if u need to change the Reed you have to take the entire engine out

Engine is an air cooled verson of the engine in the C3. ive seen one be able to to hit 75odd KPH with propre tuning.

The plastics are different also. The 4t vino sorta looks like a new Honda metropolitan. Here's a pic of a 2t 49cc vino.
