I guess I'll share my recent accident last year.Going about 25-30 mph and some prick in a Suburban takes a left in front of me. No time to react and I ran into his right side rear panel.Knocked me out a few seconds then I remember trying to follow the asshole and I fell and never found the asshole. The right hand mirror cracked a rib but my head was fine. I have a full face MX helmet. I didn't even get a headache and I'm sure my helmet saved me from some pain @ least. My rib stopped clicking after about 5 days so I've been fine.I do wonder how much trauma the helmet saved me .

I think I qualify for the unluckiest accident. I just finished wrapping my Dio panels in carbon. Two close friends from college came over to hangout and we decided to go for a ride. Very first ride on the Dio with its new panels my buddy lays it down around a turn. He seemed okay except for a few scrapes and bumps but we still pull to the side of the road to make sure hes okay. After just a few moments on the side of the road my other buddy yells "THERES BEES". Turns out we stopped DIRECTLY on top of a burrowing nest of wasps. All three of us got stung silly. Fortunately none of us are allergic to wasps.

If nothing else, it's terrible timing. If no one is seriously hurt, then at least you have the luck where it matters and hopefully the stings will be gone in a week or so. I guess now we're gonna need to figure out leather beekeeper suits for 2 wheeled adventure riding or get one of those scoots with a roof and windshield and install screen doors.

I know it's a little late in the summer, but watch out for June Bugs if you don't wear a full face helmet. If you don't have June Bugs where you live, they are a type of flying beetle about 1" to 2" long with a hard shell. June Bugs come out at night and can be seen from mid May to late June. It happened to me a bunch of years ago (back in the 1970's). I was riding at night I had a regular helmet on without a face-shield. I wear glasses so eye protection is covered. A June Bug hit me in the face in my right cheek at about 55 to 60 mph. It was like getting hit in the face with a rock! Those June Bugs are crunchy. To say it hurt a lot is an understatement. I took my helmet off and the June Bug was actually in my helmet. Not long after that I switched to a full face helmet and have worn them since. Never got hit in face with a bug in a full face helmet.

Funny you should say about glare captincvmn. Just out in car in the dark and the new road signs that went up a few year ago mainly the really bright yellow ones they put on chevrons to show bends really reflects back and hurts my eyes. I was saying to my son who was with us that must be an age thing and he said him and a lot of his mates in their late 20's early 30's find it painful on the eyes. Don't know if is because we don't have a lot of light pollution round here.

Nice looking helmet did you get a pinlock for it? No. It claims to be pin lock ready? I assume I’d know if it had a pin lock. That’s a separate membrane inside the visor correct?
