If nothing else, it's terrible timing. If no one is seriously hurt, then at least you have the luck where it matters and hopefully the stings will be gone in a week or so. I guess now we're gonna need to figure out leather beekeeper suits for 2 wheeled adventure riding or get one of those scoots with a roof and windshield and install screen doors. lol, month ago i was pulling up those damn hemlocks we have had bad this year, swarm of yellow jackets come out meaner than a dog shittin tacks, i ran knowing im allergic. I go back with wasp killer well that just pissed them off more, I felt my left thumb burning look down and there's one stinging me. Ended up paying $180 for pest control come out and poisen them. I asked him how much for the bee suit, $450 or so! Well worth $180 to kill them bastards, day after the poison they were gone, its how the poisen works, its made to spread to others and the queeen. I can see someone with a bee suit on a scooter π€£π
π. my left hand a day after π

The back protector is a great choice. The problem I find with zip out thermal linings is, once the lining has been taken out, the protection can move about. Making it useless in a crash. So now you need a summer jacket too Rob. π

Well...my Smax is gone. I was riding October 20 and came around a right hand turn going too fast. I crossed the center line and side swiped two cars one of which was towed due the wheel damage. I have several undisplaced fractures and 6 broken ribs on my right side. Five of the six ribs were plated and I have finger surgery scheduled for the two middle fingers on my left hand. I am still extremely sore and barely able to walk with a walker. As beat and battered as I am I feel very lucky that I wasn't more seriously injured. All my injuries will heal with no lasting problems. I do have a 12" incision on my back where they plated my ribs but I don't mind that cause, chicks dig scars! I was wearing my Bilt perforated leather riding jacket, Blue jeans, riding gloves, a 3/4 helmet and slip on shoes. At 71 years old my two wheel days are over.

It's good you are still here. Big accidents have a way of making you think about your mortality. Heal up fast.

I spent seven days in the hospital getting well enough to not need intravenous pain meds.

So today I picked up a pair of riding pants with the CE armor in the knees. Used. Icon Asphalt Technologies pants. The knee padding is too low. If I stand straight itβs over my shins. If I was taller it would be barely at my kneecaps. π€·ββοΈ Weird. The Velcro extra pads inside the legs are shot. They are removable though so I think I will seek new ones from Icon. Should help with any road rash though when worn over my regular pants. This completes my set. Full face, jacket and pants. The locals were tired of me Naked Scooting.
