Looks pretty good. Thanks for the pics.
What's the rear Pirelli have... .005" clearance to the case? lol I'm amazed it fit.
Did you ever get the bike speedometer installed? I beleive you said you were doing 67MPH on the stocker when my speedometer said we were going 60.5MPH. Have you tried drafting cars on the highway yet? I wish I wouldn't get arrested out on the highway, I'd have to try that on my scoot to see how fast I could go.

i got behind a semi truck tonight, doing a indicated 74ish mph. i could not reach 75 for some reason. i know its off big time..... but im going to install the bike speedo tomorrow. the pirelli has yes about .005. prob close to that anyway. they are very soft tires.

That's probably mid 60's anyway. Do you think it was revving out or just ran out of power? If the cam fits and you bore the cylinder you might actually make your cruising and top speed goals.

its a power issue. i am hoping that the cam and new piston will work.

thanks 2strokd.... this is def not the end of my mods...... i have about 510ish miles on it right now... runs great... just got my crack scale in the mail today so im going to do some roller tuning.... and see where that gets me.... what does a contra spring do? im still a little fuzzy about them.....

When you slow down, the contra spring pushes the halves of the rear pulley together to give you a deeper gear. If you slow down and then have trouble accelerating, you can probably benefit from a stiffer spring. If you go too stiff, it can keep you from reaching top speed. You can aid that situation by going with heavier roller weights.
I'm not sure if you remember when I used to switch back and forth between the 1,000RPM and 2,000RPM contra springs on my 70cc Triton or not? The 1,000RPM would give me great top end and pretty good acceleration for lots of fun on backroads, but the 2,000RPM spring was a blast in town. It would stay in a deeper gear and revving higher all the time, which killed gas mileage and made my loud exhaust stick out like a sore thumb. It was really fun in slow traffic that sped up and slowed down a lot in town though. My 99cc doesn't seem to like anything over the 1,000RPM spring. It has enough torque that it doesn;t need to rev way higher than stock. I would assume the 150 would be similar in that respect.

I was running a 1,000 but it seemed to get weak so i switched to the 1,500 and it does well. Now that i think about it it is probably my torque driver dirty and sticking making it seem like my torque spring is weak.?.

Could be. Contra springs will weaken over time though.

It was only a couple months old. I did gain some power with the pipe i have now so that might have had allot to do with it. I am sure it would help out the 150. Does autotech sell the 250 trans parts you need Bob?

I talked to him earlier. He said the variator and rollers aren't 150cc or 250cc. He didn't really plan on getting a whole new clutch and the 150 clutch springs and contra spring worked. All he'd need is maybe a longer belt and to find the seemingly one-off variator or at least rollers.

well the contra spring is from a gy6 150 and so are the clutch spings, but the clutch is much larger than a 150. the variator i think is 146mm the spline count is different from a gy6150 but the roller size is bigger than a 150 but smaller than a 250. so i have a wierd variator. i have to measure and count splines. oh joy......

What did they do when they came up with that scoot? Sounds like they just threw a bunch of parts in a bag and started pulling them at random. Sure looks cool though, im sure you will get it all figured out soon.

well i just opened up a new can of worms. I just talked to a local machine shop, the guy said that he can bore my stock cylinder to 58.5 mm. and mess around with the ports and valves for $100. just in labor though. He thinks he can clean up the head some and get me some more power. On a side note i just ordered some exhaust tubing from www.mandrel-bends.com . i also ordered two polished mufflers. So i am going to be the first moron to make a dual exhaust for a scooter in my area. I know I know before you criticize yes its over the top but what the hell its different and i can sorta weld ok.

Pretty cool idea. The weight will be riddiculous and I hope these engines don't like backpressure... but hopefully it will look and sound nice. It's certainly unique.
