Yeah I’m really a white boy from California but I think pigeon is both the coolest and the funniest form of dialect in the English language but onto the Engine well what I meant by snap ring was in the engine is mounted onto the frame using inner and outer Bolt and sleeve kind of there is on a vaccine which is very similar to a jog to snap rings instead of the four that I am used to and those grooves are to hold the outer mounting bar in place so that the engine is centered they are both right up against the inner walls of the engine mount bearings themselves and I think I may have found the culprit and it wasn’t my brain that I not to lose or a bearing I don’t think what I discovered reminds me how much I have to learn still anyways I was hearing some sort of a rattling and I had thought it was the exhaust mount which is kind of a chain-link at the moment LOL when I found out when I was trying to turn the engine by hand today from the magneto side was that the stater plate was not only screwed in very loosely but when I pulled off the mag There was one screw that was completely loose and it’s Phillips head head been grounded flat so I took off the mag used two different bolts to bolt the stater tight and try to get as much of the metal shavings out of the magneto it didn’t seem to scratch at the stadium to bed and I confirmed that when hooking power up to the positive and negative battery feeds the lights will come on so I think that the electrical therefore is ok .Also very will be right my plugs all have been used and abused I made sure a decent spark was made thoughAnyways I have read torqued the stater and tried starting it with the stock 17.5 Mikuni carburetor with an electric choke and I think like an 80 something maj

It sounded like you wanted to start with that piece of shit car that was the last one I tried last night after the 28PWK is a 19 mm arechee and the polini cp 19 now I’m going to go back outside and try the Palini first because I won’t have to change the intake with that part and try to guide I can get them to start and then I’m gonna change it back to the 28th I was wondering if any of you guys that had this build could chime in and let me know what size jets you used

Okay I spent last 24 hours trying to find out what the issue is after the stator plate incident I tried with a small stock carb went for the polini cp but it wouldn’t fit in this specific manifold it’s a reall tight ft in any stock manifold so I first looked at header which was not on completely proper close but the exhaust port on this bore is 30mm! So has to be spot on I reused a ncy flat gasket and some grey gasket maker and got the header on nicely it was now starting to get dark I took the 28pwk and the naroku big valve intake and reeds off the other rexy ( a nice ac Malossi with a mini stroke actually the first one I’ve ever owned don’t let the name fool you) by the time I had the carb I originally had on it gave it some starter fluid and it almost wanted to start I was giving up seeing it was one a.m bummed cuz I needed to get to town in the morning and although I am leasing a Honda Civic you get a few tickets and I’m talking a few and long story short I can’t afford the insurance since it’s a lease and u need full coverage so all I got is my mopeds at this point. No insurance needed in Hawaii 🤙 I gave it one last kick this time choke off holding in the brake lever and not pulling throttle whatsoever and 💨🇮🇹 Boom 🔥 fires up. So I gave it a short ride noticed that it only starts when throttle is closed and boy was it running rich now that I can open the slide all the way main jet is far too big but that’s were your supposed to start right? I got plenty of jets tach is still mounted in a hard to see spot so half to guess rpm was around 11,000 took a long time building speed uphill and made a weird sound when I tried to pull wot at low rpm. Well so I’m taking it to town from Makakilo tomorrow which is a long drive for people other than rephrence I’ll be going one side of island to other I have faith and will be living my dream cruising a hyper race water cooled jog on a Saturday cross Oahu. I’m definitely picking up spark plugs and maybe a air filter if I make it that is .....oh and I’ve been using bh__8 ngk is that the intended plug to use?

That’s to hot of a spark plug. You need a 10 heat range plug. BR10ES

I use a BR10EIX iridium plug on my 77cc. Fouls a little easier than a regular plug. But works really well with that cylinder.

Wow thx for letting me know correct plug I would have been using an 8 until I seized it lol, Well guys I actually made it to town and back actually had some good pulls on it got to town had to stop at moped rental I used to work at to recharge my battery and the top of the carb kept coming off so I called my dad to pick me up but when he got there I realized that there was no were to lock my moped so my dad reluctantly followed my home I made it back the hottest it got was com8ng up the hill right before my house it hit 90c which is close to being too hot but on a hot as day usually ran around 75 to 80 Celsius the then day I went for a ride with two pink paper clips holding the carb top on (. I say we name this bike Jerrry’s 77mhr , because everything is Jerry rigged 😆) was coming up a hill when it felt like it lost compression because it sorta died and the throttle wasn’t helping quick note before this ride it wouldn’t idle good it would have to be revved up at a stop and such well now it will idle just fine after messing with it again only thing is it dies out whenever I give it gas or wants too it makes me think compression but why would it idle fine? ? I’m at a loss

Okay I found out why it would idle fine but just bog with throttle and would die if I opened it wide I opened up the cvt cover and the polini variator is fully opened up and stuck like that it seems the star gear had broken off on an arm or two and that must have broken on of the blue guides. Well I’m glad it’s not engine damage I put on a 9 spark plug I had and switched main jet down to a 115 . Only problem is I don’t have an impact drill anymore and my neighbor who lets me use his is on big island so I’m screwed for this weekend when I need to get to town but at least I can switch out to a stock variator I have whenever I find an impact .... I love knowing it’s an easy fix but hate that I have to wait anyone around Makakilo on here ?lol....

Okay so here is a update. I managed to find a impact the next day and since one or two of the guides for the polini variator were broke I installed the stock var that had served me well b4 I decided to keep the rear pulley that had way stiffer springs and a winged bell rode it around that day was impressed with how the var. performed I even saw my first victim in a sym dd50 (same engine as Honda Dio basically) it had the usual setup polini corsa big oko open carb n think v8 pipe, needles to say the kid wanted nothing wouldn’t even look 👀 as I passed him slowed down revved him n pass him again 😝, this was the first of many to come I know i will eventually find one that takes me for a walk but until then I’m king 👑 of hillside lol. So Saturday came n I had to go to town I was doing nice pulls on awesome paved flat heaven hitting 11,600 rpm never going full wot about temperatures were fine all of a sudden I heard a loud rattling in cvt and lost power i pulled over thinking my var nut came off again but when looking saw that my belt was all but disenegrate I sadly had to call my dad to get me I locked my bike up bout five miles from my house. My neighbor got back from target practice on big island calling targets as he piloted his black hawk in the night and felt each fired shot as heat said it was awesome..... n e ways so he had a drill for me I caught a ride down from other neighbors with new var. n three belts two of which were too long but would work. When I got there I pulled of the var. n realized why the belt melted the inner brass ring on the var had broken off of the body of it n the rollers were all melted to the top o ramps so with no other choice I pulled of the burnt shells and was jus going to use the inner metal part of rollers then I realized that I brought a 16mm var nit a 13mm one so I had no choice but to bang the center back into the variator so with metal tiny weights and a variator brought back from the dead 💀 I thought I would throw on a longer belt as to not break my nice one then I found out that the koso clutch n bell was thicker even though the diameter was smaller so there wasn’t enough room for a belt n I didn’t have a 15/16 socket so I was stranded but after like forty min off working and somewhat damaging the belt I surprised myself and got it on 💪🏻 I made it home like that I took it easy but the bike would still rev past 12k before I let off just to go maybe like 40 or something. So at first I thought the combination of stock front pulley and performance rear pulley was the reason that the belt broke would love your guys inputs on that thought 💭. So I put in some new rollers heavier than I wanted but all I had along with the stock rear pulley which I believe has original springs n a used Kevlar belt. ... omg after a day I forgot about the state of the variator because I cannot tell it was broke definitely running better with the 115 mj and a 9 but not the es like overse and pig recommend so this bore takes spark plug with an extended tip??? I can feel that the weights r too heavy when shifting from low to high gear it slows down in rpm especially uphill. Waiting on new guides for polini variator but definitely noticed that with stock it takes off much harder! I will leave you guys with this so after all weekend yesterday I stopped at a store n heard a loud moped revin thought he was going to pull up on me but instead I saw dude on another corsa/28 oko/ pg pipe sym I waited till he got gas n then started up with a kick and revved towards gas station he was going towards intersection/exit and I slowed down but guy went behind a truck I was at front of the light I was locking back gesturing brapping even the dude in the tuck looked back and waived him to get inftont light turns green I drove slow n only block from shell were I was going to gas up he passed me on the left lane n I got behind him he turned on his blinker to turn n shell n I thought perfect now he has to at least talk to me or acknowledge the Hamma 🔨 I turned into shell right behind him up to a pump looked around and he was leaving back for the road🐓🚺🚮! Dude literally was scared 😱 never had that effect on someone while riding my moped but I hope I run into a stroker before I get too cocky because if this is what all dd50s with 72s and the other usual mods has to offer than I think I’ll earn my name yet, and take out all big bores and mini strokers I come across in the 808 which for people on the mainland is a shit load. I’ll keep you guys posted hopefully I can get a go pro soon. I owe much of this moped to everyone on this site shoots....

having fun smashing SYM dd50's...?
I am happy for you 808ministroke! the moment I started taking out SYMs and ELITEs with my 94cc, that's when having a Chinarelli got really fun.
I understand your happiness. me and my girlfriend would see the huge fleet of Hondas on 3 day weekends in Hawaii Kai. we would get home to Waimanalo and as soon as we could hear the fleet coming into Nalo, she could tell I was eager to go hunting Hondas. all she'd say was, "go get um! wear your helmet. have fun and make sure you come back home."
then I would end up racing them through Nalo back roads. smashing 'um! good times.
no run'um too hard ah. I know you are having a blast but get your setup good so that you don't destroy your Hammah. gotta get the setup to be reliable first, get it to the point where the transmission is solid and you don't run into problems or breakdowns.

I am glad to know that someone here can relate, I used to live Hawaii kai and would see n hear same group as you on weekends that was back when I got my first “0ficial” two stroke, a Chinese bravo sky still have one of those actually really good for chinarelli cuz 12 inch wheels and rear disc brakes but since I got into rexy I can’t stand the cheap wires and heavy frames. I I don’t think I’ll be having too many more problem with the cvt I was watching a video on YouTube and I always knew the importance of the conacle washer on variator before but somehow I had always thought raised edges went out facing the nut I learned the other day thanks to buddy smarter than me that I had it backwards I think that’s why I’ve been breaking so many belts in the last two years anyways put lighter weights in and with the stock front n rear pulleys the thing feels super solid severely doubt that after I put on a brand new belt I won’t have any issues in that area maybe an hour ago put in lighter weight and Took it to a whole new level same as my last set up but harder n faster now I am hitting 11,600;rpm and that’s uphill not even pushing it. Don’t bog n slow down when shifting n just shoots to 11k put on cvt cover from my other rexy that’s better vented and temp in engine n cv are really nice still running it rich to be safe, I also attached a big boost bottle for a stroker onto naroku manifold the bottle sits inside the seat and all rexy seats have perfect hole to run the line to intake most people don’t use em but I’ve always noticed better low end acceleration I got my exhaust welded to the bracket just now so it won’t fall n drag anymore..... all in all it’s getting dialed in every single day.l.. we should start a group call it the mean minas or don’t do fifty’s or the Honda Rompas. Or sycronized symers the USA oulimpic sym team taking out Taiwan with the help of the Italians one kook at a Time!🇮🇹🤫🏁

808ministroke, I'm glad you are getting it sorted out. I been working choke overtime at work, so pretty soon I'll have enough cash to get a legal Ningbo GTX again. you just gotta get a helmet with a reflective silver visor so that we can remain "anonymous" as we go hunting Hondas . None of the Honda guys that I have raced have ever seen my face. I been cleaning up that used SYM dd50 engine i just bought. 2 of the cylinder bolts were oversized because the original owner stripped the stock bolts. the holes on the big side of the case need to be plug welded, drilled, and tapped. planning on following Arnadanoob's suggestion from hondaspree forum. Malossi full circle crank (stock stroke), malossi sport cast iron bore (ported), and either an Arrow/Gianelli pipe or a Scorpion. probably end up putting it in a 4 stroke Chinese moped to make it a sleeper.

Yah I know some one out by me who just welded my pipe for me he does that sorta thing all day, I seen him mount gtx engine in pronto frame and on custom made slammed frames he fabricated so if you need some pointers or just want to see how he did it he’s really cool and I’m sure he’ll help you out. And don’t forget I got a sweet bore for dio it’s Aluminium identically to Malossi with stock stroke and 49 mm piston if i has de50 I would rock that bugga

Get back to the topic at hand my building is improving by the day I had to get new front brakes the mounting bracket was grinding into the disc it was so bad and when I took it off I never realize that there was true single caliper brakes I always thought there was always another piston on the other side of the break so I asked a friend to mount a real nice Aprilla break but the bracket bolt pattern was different we ended up mounting a GY6 break that I’m pretty sure it was meant for a bigger desk but it works And I can actually stop now . I have been running a BHS9 plug the only number 10 plugs I’ve seen were for capped boots only. I also realized I was missing a spacer that goes in between the rotor of the disc in the brakes itself now I can tighten the front but holding the wheel as tight as possible without freezing the wheels movement really helps with stability LOL. I alsoFound out how great Taylor clutch springs can be I had two clutches with stiffer springs one red and the other yellow I had put the red one on a 50 cc beforeAnd thought there was something wrong with it because the bike literally couldn’t go faster than 5 miles an hour but on this bike I’m realizing that it just takes a lot more power and revs to actually get the things going on it’s great for hills and takes off like a champ now so the CVT is yellow Contra and yellow clutch springs with 3.5 g Doctor pulley sliders on the stock variatorI keep dialing this thing in little by little and I have to take it to town tomorrow so far it’s made three successful trips across the island and back a few times the needle clip would come loose and the needle would get stuck in the main Jets atomizer this has caused me to seize beforeBut when it happened to me I think three times in the last three trips I have noticed within a block of the funniness of its movement and immediately pull over knowing somethings wrong I have since changed the needle from I believe a a 9 to a true Keihin needle that is shorter and fatter still have yet to get past high 50s but I’m not gonna quit until I get to 70 or maybe 68 . I or the engine may have a seizure before that day but I’m optimistic.....oh and ordered a phone holder so some video soon.

Okay update .... switched out the variator from a stock style with 4 gram dr pulley sliders back to a polini high speed finally got in 2.8 gram rollers and staggered them with three 5 or 6 gram rolllers can’t remember witch, bring it to an average of somewhere around 4.5 average I 🤔think . Anyway now the engine will only rev to occasionally 12,000 usually stays in the mid 11,000 range. I used a gps speedometer before the switch wasn’t pushing it as hard as possible but I got 58mph afterwards I was able to get 62 on the same stretch. I don’t know if what I’m doing is good for maximum output but I have a feeling it will add to it’s lifetime.
. The incident were the woodruff key got ground down and I literally changed or checked everything except the engine case and bore is behind me. Part of the reason I tamed down the rev range was because the ignition would sort of fail at high rpm sometimes at least that is what I now think the barking noise was.
