Looks really nice. The black out look really suits it. Love the green paint too.

Had some issues with my factory cylinder getting ruined by a shop that bored it out So got a kit for a later Suzuki model (K50, pretty much the same thing but with less gears, less power and reed valve intake rather than rotary disc)
Sure enough there was other differences too
Black is the K50, green is A50
CNC plasma cut adapter before I finished it with a file
Cylinder skirt hit the crank webs and the cooling fins fouled the engine cases, so a bit of high precision engineering took place
took a couple thick base gaskets to get port timing happy
Not great! But we can fix that, we have the technology
The kit head seemed to have come from a finned soup bowl factory
Fitted the clutch cover etc and gave it a couple kicks to check compression
Not great, but better than the factory 95psi rating at least. Fired it up at 10:30pm one night, in the house, using air freshener as engine start so I didn't break my Mrs no petrol or engine start in the house rule...
2nd kick and it burst into life!!! And since it was so late, the exhaust port was all the exhaust it had and I didn't warn her, my Mrs just about had kittens hahahaha Spare room smelt like a warm summer breeze and I'm now banned from the air freshener, but I was so happy to hear it run!!
Next day I fitted the pipe and pushed it outside, tipped a few liters of premix in and ran it for a couple heat cycles, once the rings bedded in a bit compression came up to closer to 120psi too.
Fuel tap leaked like a sieve though.
Comp was a bit low and it didn't have enough power to gain any speed at all in 5th gear, but it was running well enough to meet my target of getting it up to a ride over NZ's Labour weekend last weekend at least so I was happy!

112psi compression was never going to cut it, so the factory head got a spin
Opened out from 41 to 45mm with a 2mm squish band. Also took .5mm off the face while we were at it.
(I polished the chamber after I took pics)
Plug looked good after a bit of running around with low comp.
Much better!!
It'll now comes on pipe a lot stronger and will pull right to the top of 5th gear
But now that it's got compression it's running hot, revs are hanging for ages before coming back to idle and the plug is starting to go grey/lighter coloured
Will go up a couple jet sizes and see what happens.

That thing is awesome! Very nice bike! About revs hanging before returning back to idle, thats an lean idle sitauation. I guess you're running some kind of Mikuni? If so, try adjusting the idle mix screw. If it's not responding to it, do a thorough carb clean, preferably with an ultrasonic cleaner.

Yeah Suzuki specific version of a Mikuni VM16, with no idle mix screw at all. Need to track down some pilot jets for it, or better yet an early carb with mix screw.

Mikuni vm's are so very widespread, my tsx has a vm16 too.
They are used on all kinds of bikes, getting parts for em is easy peazy.

The VM16 used in the A50 etc seems to be Suzuki specific, the idle is adjusted by a rod coming down from the top cap next to the throttle cable Been talking with a guy in the states that has 2 original Suzuki R/T race kit clutch covers, trying to get him to sell me one. The RT cover has room to run a VM20 from an A100 in it.
