Actually, I ment if larry puts the 52mm head on his 50mm jug, then it should help him on his quest for lower compression. he doesnt have a 50mm jug he has a 52.4mm jug. but yeah apparently his present head doesnt match.

Now that i think about it 50 mm head was the biggest i could get at the time.

Honestly I need Fawkes right now, he's my primary transportation, Ill buy another NCY 52mm bbk and matched head, a gasket set and redo him some weekend when I have the time. Or maybe if I can find a long case 139 engine for a reasonable price, Ill buy that and build an other one for back up....
Lately he's been starting much easier, probably the warmer weather.. Any way he's already earned 10 times the money i spent on him on this first build and he's running strong. God after you get them dialed in that stroker is an absolute pleasure to drive.. Id do it again now that I know more and the correct parts are more available.

Id do it again now that I know more and the correct parts are more available. that was gonna be my next ? Ohhhh yes, When I first started this project the 52mm was just coming on the market, the stroker crank was a brand new item, and there was more speculation than there was facts.. Nobody had done one, there was a guy here named speedy that was suppose to attempt it.. Don't know what ever happened to him. But now you can get the 52 mm with matched 52 mm head. from several suppliers, much more has become available except the variator.. The variator is the one component that still requires some custom work. specifically the ramp plate.. I increased the ramp plate thickness from 2.5 mm to 4.5 mm at the guides to spread the load stresses so that it don't cut thru the key guides and into the variator itself. This mod on the variator ramp required new guide keys as well, I built mine by hand the first time. And have started building one for fast's Stroker. Without this custom ramp plate and keys, you will destroy your variator. The 139 variators were never designed to take this much stress.. Cooling the CVT is an issue as well, Driving mine the first time after 30 miles or so the heat meted my variator fan, destroyed my Kevlar belt, and variator, and you could barley find what was left of the key guides. I had to cut ventilation holes in my CVT cover to fix that problem. With all that being said, every thing I went thru was it worth it ?? Ohhhhhhh yea, driving it is a pure pleasure, no matter what's happening driving it puts me in a good mood, I easily keep up with traffic, climb hills like they aren't there, driven into 30 mph head winds and had to come off the throttle as the bike is so light it felt like it was going to take off.. I have a 230 cca 11 amp battery to help starting it, that required a mod to the battery box to fit this battery.. Had to add a larger front tire and brake as going 50 to 55 my average speed is too fast for 10 inch wheels.... I have a scappy windshield that is constantly being bent back from the wind resistance. I em honestly afraid the mounts will break if i don't reinforce them with something, or just make heaver stronger mounts... Gas consumption is less than a 150cc, but more than your average 83cc build, performance is nearly on par with a 150... I tend to agree with fast that it's performance probably matches a 125 because of the lighter frame used for the 139... This is a very expensive endeavor to be sure, but well worth it if your willing to put forward the effort. And to be honest every time someone builds one we all learn more from it.. Can't wait to see fast's build hit the road. I think I'm more excited about it than he is LOL. To sum up my book here, any scooter i buy for myself I will modify to a stroker.. It's just too much fun

Well i got the carb from Mainepeace LLC. No name on it but the design is like a walbro. An 18 mm will work just fine. I bought the 20 mm more for matching the head intake size. And removing any fuel delivery restrictions. I think they call it port matching.

I think I need this crank.
I have a Honda Today. Is there any difference between the chinese clones and the genuine (probably chinese) honda qmb139? I'd be sad if I shipped a crank to Australia only to find it is different....
This is my current setup. 20.5mm carb, stock airbox with speed holes, kitako 52mm cylinder, kitako big valve head, kitako sst exhaust, takagawa cam, head and inlet ported, kitako variator, takagawa cdi fudge box. Im running stock final drive ratio as I like the hit off the mark. (the thing can do real burnouts! I'll post a pic soon.)
I am on my 3rd stock crank as it likes to strip the variator splines. (Mr Honda makes the variator splines harder than the crank splines so the $280 crank sacrifices itself to save a $25 variator cone!!) I may have a fix though. Im going to tig the splined washer to the variator cone. this will more than double the spline contact area.
Is stripping crank splines common on these engines? There is very little info in Australia on modifying these scooters.
