This post seems almost like a sales pitch. I see you are in the same city as the ebay seller. Scooters 2 Go grand rapids MI. Very interesting.

When I bought mine it was still the STG, but the seller was different. It was pretty close to the same ad and title and everything though. Who knows, maybe they just started under a new name or something. When I got mine it the sale and shipping went smoothly, and measured it in the jug just to make sure I didn't buy a fake piece of crap or a stock crank listed as a stroker, definitely measured up to the 44mm. Here is the pic of the AFR reader that I built. This is prior to adding the muffler though, tried running it like this but it was just obnoxiously loud. View AttachmentThanks 90GTVert! Please post exactly what method you used to compare the stroke between a stock crank and this one. 1.3mm is not much to the naked eye. If I buy one i plan to take both it and a stock crank to a machine shop and have them precisely measured. Its way too easy to sell a 41.4mm stroke crankshaft as a 44mm. I am VERY suspicious of all chinese parts. Recently I received what was supposed to me a 50mm BBK only to find the bore was .005 over and even had a 'B' written on the bottom of it which tells me someone KNEW it was BAD. Be careful, numbers dont lie.

Measure the distance between where the piston crown is at BDC and where it is at TDC and you can see the stroke. I just use my digital caliper. May not be the best precision measurement, but you could easily tell stock vs 44mm.

Weston is a more recent regular of our shop, but he did purchase it on eBay. We only listed three of them when we first got them in, and it was under my (manager at Scooters To Go) personal account rather than a business account. We only sold three on there because we wanted to test the waters with online sales and see how quickly we could sell them via ebay. We also wanted to do more testing with our crank to make sure it was up to standards for our customers and to make sure the reliability was there. We told Weston (via phone) to purchase it on ebay and we would just mail it to him so he wouldn't have to make the 40 minute drive from the other side of town (Rockford, Mi). We were not going to sell them directly out of our store until spring, kind of a new addition to big bore kits and our performance line. Weston understood that he was doing R&D work for us and was ecstatic about it. He actually came in the other day to buy a new belt and told us that he mentioned it on here and had some responses. He rode his scooter in and as he mentioned a few weeks ago, the crank still sounded great, no main bearing noises or anything else.
And to answer the final question regarding the measurement of the stroke, it was in the design that was given to the manufacturer, and to confirm that each crank measured up to the 44mm we swapped the crank on one motor and reused the bbk top end. Before we removed the stock crank we measured the distance from the top of the jug to the top of the piston, typically 1.3mm. Then once we installed the new crank, we bolt down the head and torque everything, then measure again, but there is no measuring on this one because the piston is flush with the top of the cylinder.

I forgot to add that we remove the head and re-measure, not just torque everything and measure.

So you are having these made. What bearings are being used? are they being made in USA? Yes we are having them made, and the bearings are ball for the outsides and needle for the rod. Unfortunately, like even Piaggio's cranks and parts, these are manufactured in China.

Well sorry guys, ebay will only allow me to discount the purchase by the shipping amount ($15). Like I said, we are new to this ebay thing and working the bugs out. SO HERES THE DEAL.
1. "Contact Seller" (consumer_marketing) on eBay with your 49ccscoot username, and the promo code: "Too Dumb To Operate an Ebay Page" 2. Choose the "Buy It Now" option, and "Commit to Buy", but do not pay for the item yet. 3. Within 36 hours, we will discount your purchase by $20.00, by providing Free Shipping. 4. When the purchase price is changed, we will send you an invoice. 5. Pay for your STG Stroker Crankshaft. 6. Enjoy your new 44mm stroker crank when it arrives a few days later! We are holding this promotion because we support the scooter community, and anyone involved in this thread is most likely interested in performance parts. If you have any questions just shoot us a phone call and we will be glad to help you out. This promotion will only be available until June 10, 2013. During this promotion, only one unit (crankshaft) is allowed per transaction, and only unit one per 49ccscoot user. International transactions are not permitted with this promotion, United States only.
We would like to get our name out there and would like to provide some serious scooter tuners with a product at a very affordable price. We are good at "makin' stuff go fast" but apparently poor with ebay.

eBay sucks these days, at least on the seller, end everything is restricted and the user interface isn't always intuitive. text headers end up being buttons you are looking for and some things aren't in the most obvious places etc etc.
I'm looking at possibly getting one of these stoker cranks, i have a little bit of a unique built i'm wanting to do. i't would be nice to get the stroker in there with out sacrificing any compression or piston reliability (i mean shaving the top of the piston, cutting skirts probably isn't so bad)
