A kid in my neighborhood (i say kid but i think hes 40) has a Lance Cabo 50. Sometime in the night of Christmas Eve someone attempted to steal it. I had to show him a few months ago how to lock the steering. Its a good thing. The culprit was unsuccessful in breaking the lock. But did they ever bend the handlebars. On xmas day dude came over and i put his wheel straight and the handlebars are seriously crooked. I could never drive like that. Anyway he came to me looking for guidance. Im tryin to find replacement bars for him. Can anyone help point me in the tight direction?

Wow, normally the locks break before the bars. I guess he was lucky. Most after market bars should fit. Just measure how thick they are, and the drop to the clamps. I If you give us the model. I'm sure someone could find you something to fit.

Not sure the year i think 2018 Lance Cabo 50. Its a really nice and well built bike its just too slow for me. I feel for the dude cuz all he got for transpo. He drove past last night and i know he was crooked. But they did damage to the lock. Its goes from all the way left to almost straight. But it held on. He also had a front wheel lock on it i think. Hes lucky. I told him it was gonna happen.

Parts for Lance are hard to find. I had a PCH 50 for 5 years sold last year. I've dealt with NC Scooter in Charlotte, NC. Very nice people. Say I sent you. Happy New Year! www.facebook.com/NCScooter/Ask for Liz.

Last I checked, SYM/Lance parts have to be ordered from SYM thru a dealer. Scooter Dynasty might still be selling parts online (I think physical shop shut down) www.scooterdynasty.com/f03-handlebarfor50cc-200ilancecabo.aspxYou could put them in a vice, heat them with a torch, and bend them back as a temp fix. Pretty sure that one of the Zhen clones use the same bar setup.

Sometimes bicycle handlebars can be same diameter depends if you have a thicker section where they bolt down but even then have had some fit bikes and scooters ok. Worth a look online.

Here is one more option i just thought about . The bars are nothing special 7/8 steel you could probably hit your local bike shop and scope out the hybird bikes and find a set of 6061 or chromoly bars that will work . You might have to cut them down as far as length goes and drill the two or 4 holes in the bars for control location .. Might be way cheaper if you have the tools or friends with tools to help you out ...

Ugh, that shit sucks. Someone stole mine twice. Hopefully the shitty build of the Chinese scoots comes in and it breaks down on them and they ditch it. It sounds dumb, but its possible. Good luck finding it though

Well it,s been a year since my scoot was stolen safe to assume it,s gone gone,I actually saw a scoot being stolen today not the whole thing but the get away, two outriders pull the guy on the stolen scoot till they are far enough away from the poor guy chasing them on foot then the rider screwdrivers the ignition and off they go into the sun,not the first rodeo for these guys. Assuming!!! They cruise round waiting for an opportunity to present itself,so disc lock EVERY time you turn your back and locks chains ground anchors security light when parked at home.I was driving my work truck at the time and followed them for a half mile but they out paced me by a lot, the only description I could give was three crash hats on three stolen scoots, not much use.sad I can not work out what they do with them, vehicle theft seems low down on our UK police " to do " list.

It's an island, they can't get far...
A few seconds with a battery powered abrasive cut-off wheel, bolt cutters, cable shears, -and it's gone.
Some people feel that if you havn't got your personal belongings locked up so nobody can get them you obviously did not want them.

vehicle theft seems low down on our UK police " to do " list. This is kind of surprising to me from things that I've read and seen on the forum. It seems like thieves of all sorts use scooters over there. I've seen motorcycle/scooter thefts, purse and phone snatching, and read about scooters used for other crimes. Royal Jordanian (YouTuber) had a couple of dudes on a scoot attempt to bike-jack him. If they're used so much in crime, it seems like it would be a little higher priority. It's been awhile since I've heard much about it though, so maybe it's less of an issue now? I guess it's tough to find scoots and people in helmets, the actual crime isn't usually high value or involving anyone being hurt, so they don't use resources for it.
