Hey! I'm doing the USB power slot too here in a couple days.... That right switch, is the connector healthy? No pins mucked up from someone probing a multimeter? Normally the kill switch is it's own circuit, used to ground to kill, so in my mind there's just something disconnected. Who knows, maybe the inside of the switch assembly is corroded or full of spiders Switch is great. Even tried the switch block off the Jog. Known good starter relay, pulling the brake lever triggers the two wires to go hot, but not the starter. Relay starts another scoot, supposedly wired the same. Not sure what's going on. Did download a great service manual for the Jog, and the Razz shares the wiring harness, one wire is different. Kill wire is black and red. Problem.is, the only black/red wire on the bars goes into a little block with Three or four other wires. I did sort that issue, the diode block is half dead. It had been ever so expertly wired wrong, and fried a section. When he brakes were pulled, the solenoid WAS triggered, but not correctly. The start button GROUNDS the circuit. The brake levers supply the HOT. Some genius had the start wire spliced to the brake wire, so everything was going hot. Fixed that and traced the ground ending at the diode, so I ran a new section of wire for that, and it works perfectly. The kill switch is cut somewhere, I can get the action from the switch, to the diode, out of the diode, and it doesn't make it to the engine. Not a problem. Another chunk of wire, some connectors, solder and tape, that's fixed.

Shame, but like you said, it would bleed money. And if you didn't get it how you would like it to be. It will always be a disappointment.

This is it, I mean, I can't just dump what little money I have into a project that will likely never meet my expectations. I do agree that it is a good project, and does have immense potential, but I just do not think I can carry it forward. The horizontals I have all can benfixed, and road worthy easier, cheaper and with more power than poor little sketch. I have to admit though, the idea of 8-10hp on that tiny frame is inticing.....

I can tell you from personal experience that 8-10hp powering a Razz is hilarious. I still want to see a full pic of this thing!

Well, no work today, so that means I will have a chance to go work on Sketch a bit. Still haven't decided what to do with him, but I still want to do *something*. So, I have decided to relocate all electronics, save the ignition coil, to the front panel, so it will be hidden. I have the whole loom from the Jog, so first thing is to make sure all the wires are still good, once confirmed I will begin relocating everything that can be relocated.
IF I decide to keep him, I have an idea of using fiberglass to blend the Jog front panel to the Razz front panel, to create something truly unique. I can see the finished bike in my mind but I'll damned, I just cannot find the words to explain it and I suck with rendering programs. Haven't found any freeware that I can use....
So, rather or not Sketch is sold or kept, his electronic bits will be relocated. If I keep him I'll blend the panels together to make it a true one of a Kind. Since the plastics will be off, I might even check to see if the Jog forks will swap out directly, stem and all, or what....

I’d like to see pics and measurements on the fork swap! I promise I will post pics. I was at the shop for all of ten minutes today, before the bidd changed his mind and called me I to work late. So, no progress, no pics today. I was there long enough to remove the wire loom from the Jog frame, then had to drop everything and leave. Work comes first. No work = no $$ for my addictions, namely scooters and nicotine.....

I like where you are going with this. It’s a jog swapped into a razz frame!
Keep going man!

I like where you are going with this. It’s a jog swapped into a razz frame! Keep going man! Vertical Jog, in a single bone frame, yep. Also, work has been hell, so I've not been back to work on Sketch. Snowing tonight. So may get some wrench time tomorrow.....

Haven't been to the shop lately, been swamped with work. All this rain has made things awful, I've got a 15 foot tall and 180 foot long high wall to rebuild, or the pond is get filled in. I just want to take the time to deliver a big Ky "FUCK YOU" to the genius that decided to sell rail road timbers to people like my boss. 250-300 pounds a piece. I'm to take delivery of a 53 foot flat bed loaded with 280 of em today. Just F@#$ my sh!t up. Ugh.
Heavily considering a Naraku 72 kit for Sketch, its the best looking kit in my price bracket, but I know absolutely shit all about it. Any body have experience?

Sorry hellish, haven't had any free time lately. Trying to get the farm ready for the spring planting season, pays decent, but leaves me with absolutely ahit for free time.
Haven't even finished wiring the RR after moving everything to the front cowl. Cdi is wired and mounted the relay is moved, only thing near the motor is the coil, I just haven't wired the RR yet. If I get that finished, the forks are my next project. Too bad a Helix front end would fit, I already have one with disc brakes, that would be the safest, but I will check the Jog forks as soon as I can.
My 98 Helix, Star, has been giving me fits, belt flipped again, this time it started to shred, and now the rear half has scars and a small gouge in the face. Replaced the belt, checked the gear oil, found it was a fuckin milkshake, so flushed with a few quarts of cheap motor oil and filled with Penz 75/90. Gotta pull the rear half from the 86 and clean/inspect it before swapping it.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Seems like most people I know are sitting around wishing they coukd work. And then there I am. Working almost doubke time. Not bitching, money is nice and all, but am too f ing tired to turn a wrench when I do get home. Am going through scooter withdrawals. Caught myself doing the throttle thing while watching a motorcycle commercial.
"Hi. I'm Chris, and I am a scooter addict."
