Supercool! Speed up your exposure time and you should get some detail on Luna.

Oh I like this thread,I am slowly trying to learn the constellations this is day4 I have got orion off to tee but I need to defrag my brain to fit the big dipper in,and some clear nights of course.

Geoff If nothing else, everyone should know how to find the North Star by way of the Big Dipper. Basic navigation survival! edit: in the northern hemisphere, of course

I think you'll like Bob Dylans' latest , just out 3 days ago.
down here we've had mostly clear nites lately . I look up to the west /n westand I see some formation - the dipper ? don't know any more. kinda used to .
all the birds are gone. hardly any birds at all, a few crows maybe .

Conjunction of Venus and the Pleiades occurs tonight (Apr 3). 1) Will the weather/clouds cooperate 2) Will I take the time to shoot them

The forecast for tonight is basically full cloud coverage with spits of rain. If anyone can get this that would be cool

took a shot last nite of 3/4 ? moon - with my phone. clear nite. but no way. just thought I'd try and see what happen.

Another heads up, Venus-Mercury conjunction May 21-22. Look for them at sunset. Supposed to be able to "hide them with a fingertip at arm's length."
