Found Dr Who tonight, or rather Yolanda did with the controller trickery unit thing and just finished watching it and now bed.
Trickster controllers can only be operated by witches, wives, warlocks, time lords, and teenagers. Don't touch them. If you are seen trying to cast spells with them you will be applied to the rack, drawn and quartered, or burned at the stake for attempts to control 'things' beyond your low miserable station in life. Now go back and pound sand...

Got mine on Saturday. Haven't had the Pfizer before, as they thought it wasn't a good idea. But no choice now. 🙈

Out of an abundance of caution they did not recommend mixing vax types at first but they have since decided it is OK and maybe even good. The "Boffins" are still learning like all of us.

They thought I might have a reaction to the Pfizer before. My dad had his booster yesterday. Was saying they were turning lots of people away as they didn't think it was suitable for them. 😞

Had my booster. Was the Pfizer one. Feel ok at the moment.
The government has announced that mandatory mask wearing will come in from next week in shops, and public transport again.

Me and the Mrs had our Pfizer boosters this morning as well, our first 2 vaccinations were Astra zenica.. we both feel ok as well, bit of a sore arm but thats standard really with injections I guess. Yes.. the Prime minister is getting a bit jittery about this new strain of Covid that has turned up in the U.K, I wore my mask still anyway in super markets and on public transport etc, so the new stricter measures wont really affect me.

A report on Radio 4 today said the South African government has said no deaths have occurred with the new strain and they think it's a weaker variant which is why it had not been detected so quickly. There was a bit more said but I can't fully remember so I won't start speculating what was said so no false information gets bandied about. All I remember it was whilst going to town to get our pizza for tea not long before Boris Bonkers speech about it.

GF tested positive, her son tested positive, I am waiting for my results. I felt crappy last week and it peaked thanksgiving day. I figured I just felt like crap. Now I gotta wait and see. Truthfully I’ve felt worse. I feel better today than yesterday and so on. Still not nice wondering who I might have passed it to and I’m left wondering where I got it.
Y’all stay safe. I’m breathing fine just snotty with a cough on day 7.

Sounds like a STD...
Hopefully you have been vaxxed so the symptoms may be mild.

Got vacksed because work mandated it. Some of us held out until the final deadline. A handful refused. Initial guidence was reprimand for not meeting deadline but a judge put a halt to that.
So the paperwork given to us prior to getting vacksed said "you are being offered BioNTech or Comirnaty today."
When the eff-dee-ay approved the Fizer vacks, i read up on it on their site. I read up on the process of storage, thaw, dilute with specific saline, check for clarity, and administer. Site states that bioNtech and Comirnaty are "legally distinct".
Even the footnote on our paperwork said they are legally distinct. Both times, prior to injection, i asked the Kaiser people if i was getting Comirnaty. All of them had no clue what Comirnaty was. The guy asked the head lady and she said it was the same. I told the guy that statement was BS because it clearly says on the paperwork that Kaiser gave is that they are legally distinct.
The guy told me, "wow, you really read through that very well to find that." I told him as a Nuc worker, we are required to read and understand details and know them. If i install the wrong part and it fails, i can go to jail for a very long time. In my line of work, parts can look exactly the same but serial numbers provide a specific end-use. If i install the wrong part, i can lose my job and/or go to jail for malpractice."
I have no problem with conventional vaccines, but it is disturbing when it feels like bait-n- switch. Im ok with the mandate for Comirnaty, but it is not available in US. We are given bioNtech which is not eff-dee-ay approved, only Emergency Use Authorizations They are not "the same" if the two are legally distinct.
There is that line, "trust the science". Too bad science dont care about natural immunity. A lot of the people at work feel the we got exposed in Nov-Dec of 2019. A lot of people had flu symptoms and headaches. A work group went to guam in late Oct '19 and they had major flu symptoms there, a couple of them were sick to the point they missed work for several days.
While most of General Population had to stay at home, we were working everyday because considered essential. Initially about 50% of the work force took the telework option because of "high risk" or "caretaker". So for about 6 months people teleworked. The rest of us worked in the hot-zone. We used to watch sailors get the 15 minute test everyday prior to boarding their ship. We seen them pop hot and get denied access. Some ships required civilians to take the 15 minute test if they were not vacksed. We seen work groups get put on administrative leave for 2 weeks because 1 person from the group popped hot. All of them came back after 2 weeks.
During the tourist and local shutdowns, on 2 occasions, Hawaii got down to less than 1%. We got a low as 0.7% and then the clowns "opened" the state back up. And now with tourism and travel opened up, the numbers are back up.
The (black)boats and (gray)ships are their own command and did not have to furnish data because of operational security. At many times the hot-zone had more counts than the whole state, but general population is oblivious to that. Workers found out what vessels were hot and they knew the precautions. Numerous times we were caught working without our masks. We were a small work group (cohort) so as long as we were together, we did not wear masks. To us, if any individual popped hot, our whole section would be put on administrative leave for 2 weeks. Since '19 none of my work groups popped hot, and we were operating in the hot-zone for almost 2 years.
Mind you, it is an industrial environment, sailors/seamen are dirty folk, you ever see how they wash hands in the restrooms... soapless. Some of us suspect that our immune systems are stronger that most people because of the environment that we work in
Going back to science, why did they not test us for antibodies first before mandated jabs. My observational data leads me to conclude that most of the people at work had antibodies from previous exposure. This is a place that emplys 6000 people. So far, we have only heard of 1 person that died of it, and he was fully vacksed. He got sick doing a job at another Yard and never made it back to Hawaii.
The funny thing too is that the mask requirements were relaxed within the gates. No masks indoors within the gates while outside the gates, it was masks indoors for general population. But since i got the 2nd shot, i have had a cough and i wake up with phlegm every morning, body aches, and more tired now.
Such is life...
**initially for masks, we wore half mask 3m respirators with HEPA filters. We sealed the exhaust valve and removed the intake valves. Our work place did not like the optics of that. We even wore Tyvek suits and nitrile glovs with the respirators.**

Hey Reph,
I like your post. I worked through the entire pan-d. Missed four hours when Pennsylvania initially shut down. I work on garage doors, mostly commercial. My helper and I are paired up almost all the time. We also got quite sick in December ‘19. We swore we must have had it. We work in a two hour radius of York PA. Hospitals, waste water treatment, food factories, anywhere with a garage door. The list is quite large. For two months in the beginning we lived in fear. Alcoholing hands after every stop etc. Fast forward to thanksgiving 2021 and I finally contracted IT. I had a night where my lungs output a massive amount of phlegm, I had a day or two prior to that where my upper teeth and whole top of head just plain hurt. Smell went away on day 5? Still has not returned. I have a persistent cough that on day 21ish hangs around but is getting less every day. When I’m busy I forget to cough. It’s kinda like that.
I’ll stand with the conspiracy theorists in the main made virus camp. Not sure what naturally occurring thing would steal your sense of smell on a seemingly permanent basis. Of course I’m not sure how a man made thing could do so either so it’s just speculation on a self reassuring basis.
For those that get it, cough plenty, keep your lungs as clear as you can and rest. Other than the phlegm (and weird taste/smell issues) it seems beatable however it does affect everyone differently. If you read this far, thanks.

You were lucky. I have had three relatives die from the stuff. Several others got very sick, only one hospitalized. I try to be careful and wear a mask when I am out and about. I just wash my hands after I am out. I have been fully vaccinated. The shots just made my arm sore for a day or so, just like any other intramuscular injection. I hope I don't get it. I have enough health issues as it is.
