Did you put the 6 plug in there? I have never seen a plug for a scooter that was not an 8, or 9. Should run a whole lot better with a proper rant plug in. Yea it was a short plug what i got from autozon wen i was building a moped last year i had and extra and ran that one but didnt know anything about the specs and if it was the right one🤦🏽♂️ Im getting the right plug today tho and hopfully getting this scooter running as it should

I got a chance to ride it today for picked up a b8hs ngk sparkplug and its definitely a way cooler. Now the scooter was too rich couldnt even ride it. So i came down to a 140 main but its still bogging is i rev it full throttle. And the spark plug is black. I bought 3 b8 plugs and ordered 3 b9 plugs i think ima gonna go with the b9 and i have a 45 pilot jet but did a test closed the air screw all the way and the bike still revs and idles at about 1800-2000 rpms so my brother sayd im lean in pilot i need to go up. And he says im rich in main should come down.

How much did your temps drop aproximately ? Your brother is right about your carb For Best performance Keep dropping down the main till it cleans up . Then do a high speed run with progressively smaller jets . Take the richest one with the highest speed and then do a proper wide open plug chop on that jet to make sure your safe . You might have to retune the needle . If you are choking the air screw all the way in ,You need to richen up the pilot .

I was warmed up and idle 250-260 with the b6hs plug and now its idleing 215-220 around there with the b8hs Im talking about idle after driving it Around a block or 2

215 220 That sounds alot healthier. I am a around 200 degrees after a warm idle . At 1/2 Throttle I run in the 260 degree range . I am running a 9 plug and I am a tad rich at wide open and needle . I prefer it this way so when I get off a wide open run of 6-8 miles or so that I can drop down to half throttle and have my temps drop. I usually juice the throttle a couple times just to bring down temps faster at deceleration or when sitting at the stop sign it also has the cool factor of revving and rumbling.

Running on the rich side does cost me a little performance .
Its not like when we raced snowmobiles when I was a kid and we would just Lean them out and let them scream until we burned em up. And rebuilt them for the next radar run . My Grandparents owned a snowmobile dealership so I had access to alot more stuff and I was a kid without a Budget or a care in the world . My Grandpa would just shake his head and laugh say you have expensive habits. It was Good Advertising for how hot you could make his Arctic Cats .

I havent rode snowmobiles yet but olan to soon. Looks awesome. I know most of the 2t snowmobiles have dual cyclinders. Is that what u had? I wish i couldve had fun like that. Definitely good advertisement lol you probably put them to the true tests lol...Im still learning alot im use to cars never had any bikes. But its way more affordable that a car and im loveinf everything about this scooter. Im just starting to understand it alot better dealing with it but also feel like im not 100 with it yest so i feel good getting advice and opinions. And thats what i want. I dont want to get maximum power out i want it to be definitely on the safe side and dailyable as much as possible. I dont mind sacraficing performance for reliability at all. Its strong as hell right now. And i already ordered the gears. Im hopeing the gears calm the aggressiveness and tourque and give me a more controlable take off.

I want the same type setup my brothers scooter has a small entry level pipe and a motoforce race kit on it. Its a genuine roufh house. His temps are awesome in my eyes and its freakin fast just as fast as mine and im not running right yet. But his temps are like 270-280 wide open throttle on a pull. And like 175-180 on idle its wiled lol but i want a rich set up as well and have that ability of cooling it down on revs also cause Itll be added to the fan cooling thats how my brother rides and i do as well. Not exhadurated cause then its no help lol

You are heading in the right direction . With your jetting . When you you get it running. Take some video running Wide Open and post it for addition to the speed list .
Your Brother should post up his build on here . and Go for the Speed list also.

Whats the speed list? And i will try to get him to make an accout n post his up to.
Yea tomorrow the b9hs plugs come in i ordered 3 of them if wondering tho how cold can i go b4 i start to have problems, will i have problems? I seen on s ooter tunning br10hix iridum plugs if i go that cold would i need to go up to a b10hs regular plug to get the getting right? Because the colder plug made the biggest difference wen i hopped from a ngk 6 plug to a ngk8 plug

The change in color on the ground strap will tell you if you are going to cold . The 9 should be perfect for your aluminum set up . The zuma come stock with a 7 I swapped a 7 in once when I ran out of plugs and made a run into town . I thought something was wrong my cht was running 20 degrees hotter . Here is the threads for scoot speed list Basically you post video and we vote you on 49ccscoot.proboards.com/board/114/scoot-speed-list

This post was awesome! I watched the video and according to the sounds of that scooter mine sounds lean at wide open throttle. And the last thing i dod was drop main jet again. But its weird wen on its kick stand it doesnt rev good. But wen under load and im driving it it boggs once in a while but its running really good up to 3/4 throttle. Wen im doing a pull its picking up the whole way but wen i wide open the last bit it kinda flattens out and sounds like its holding back alittle bit. And as soon as i let off a tiny bit it starts to gradually pick up again pretty quick and noticable

I was gonna just up jet today to like a 150 main never tried it that high. And still havent heard my scooter run super rich either. Figured it wouldnt hurt it. And my needle is at the top clip its most lean positions. But if i change it it wont run as good anywhere else im so confused
