Zino gonna be real soon too. As long as the rain holds off this afternoon, my plan is to get the handlebars swapped and the harness wired to the Kymco ignition after work. Then get the gears swapped out. Hopefully I'll have it all back together and ripping by the weekend.

Well I've got the gears swapped. Sanded the swingarm, intake and flywheel cover (painted them while on Kym) along with the CVT cover. Still need to sand the rear wheel. And due to the summer shower I was unable to mess with the bars or wash the frame down. Tomorrow's another day.
Note to self: get your shed cleared out Also mileage update 28,803km. 1524 km on 47mm kit. Gonna have a new speedo when completed with lower kms. Kym's stock speedo is about 8% fast.

Other then painting the rear wheel, kicker and brake caliper brackets I'm at the point of putting everything back together. The bars are on it, harness is wired to ignition switch, CVT is put back together, using stock face, 89mm vari, 8g rollers and a used 729 gates powerlink belt measuring 16.1mm wide. Gonna use the 729 just until i know how evrrythimg is gonna act. Final checklist. Wire in taillight and rear turn signals Wire in LED Flasher Replace rear stalks with a pair from Becky Attach the grounding to the frame (batt to frame, frame to engine) Reinstall engine Put the body back on Ride it like it's stolen The colors are Rustoleum Flat Black and Kraylon Satin Spiced Amber. Also if everything goes well ill have my new brake line and brake pads tomorrow.

Got the caliper brackets painted, new brake pads loaded in both calipers, rear master and brake line laid out in the frame. Harness is grounded to the frame. Still need to wire in the LED flasher, head and taillights. Also put new rear turn signals on. Oh and to reinstall the engine but that and the body will be last. Kinda wish the mosquitoes would go bother someone else so I could get more accomplished before having to retreat

Still don't have the lights wired in yet but I did take a short test drive last night. Brakes work great, engine feels to have really good power. But my belt busting gremlin still lives. Split the old used 729 after about 2 miles. But I wasn't real easy that last take off, so it's most likely my fault. I did notice that my new speedo is reading low. 30mph on the gauge was 36 on GPS. might need to check and inflate my front tire as it's most likely about flat from sitting 2 weeks.
Switching back to my 1k contra, with the 738/18-28 belt. Hopefully everything goes smoothly with this setup. I seem to have issues on 4Ts when switching contras. They seem to be too stiff;1500 Naraku and red China 2k. Maybe I don't have the power to use them? Oh well it's off to work for now and more tinkering the afternoon

2nd heat cycle on the 738 belt. So far so good. Haven't rode it yet. Kinda just let it idle for 2 cycles of 10 minutes each. Did engage the clutch a couple of times. But nothing over 1/4 throttle. Also my rear tire doesn't come off the ground on the center stand so it did have a little bit of drag against everything.

Well I'm fixing my headlight and "bezel" from where it popped off the bike on a bump and busted 2 tabs off and cracked the side. Once the plastic welder sets up the only thing left is to put connectors on the headlight wiring. Haven't wired the LED flasher yet as I'm going to be getting a new speedo and the Flasher is right there, and I'm not planning to use LED turn signal bulbs for right now. I haven't drove it far or fast yet with breaking in the new belt but I can tell you this much, Dual disks with sintered brake pads and 2 piston calipers is the best damn upgrade I've done to this bike. No more praying I stop from 55+ when the Asshole cager pulls out in front of me to go 15mph user the limit. I just touched the rear brake yesterday and I was dragging the rear tire at 20mph and stopped in like 10 feet. I've got more brake upgrades planned. The ultimate brake upgrade is 220mm front rotor and RPM 4 piston caliper and for the rear, I'm gonna try to get a 200mm rotor on there and another RPM 4 piston caliper with VOCA 4 piston caliper bracket. Although before I spend money on that I think the front rotors from the reverse trike are larger then the 180-190mm rotors that I have on there now and gonna see if they can be used as budget upgrade. Although I may be bringing my scoot builds to a halt for now, as I have been given an opportunity to buy my dream cage for an completely unreal price. More to come soon

Well first small update, I've decided to pass on the car. Things that seem to good to be true usually are.
Anyways, seems my speedo has decided to be completely accurate which means I'm only getting 45mph. And 8000 max revs by the tach. Set up right now. Old 1k contra. Straight groove TD. 2k clutch springs and 8 gram rollers in the 89mm variator. Got about 30 miles on this belt. Not getting full shift still.
I also noticed that the TD seems to not be holding the lowest gear possible. I can turn the driver sheath a tiny bit and it will shift to the lowest gear until you turn the belt. Gonna take it apart again and see if there is any play in the grooves. If not then I'm going to assume that the contra isn't stiff enough.

Well had to swap TD. Using the one that came one the new engine. Stock contra. And my performance clutch with red springs. 8 grams is WAY too heavy. 6k shift starts 3k right after the clutch engages. Gonna tune weighting. The Naraku 1500 contra would do the trick I think but it was binding up.
Looks like a parts order is in my future. New China blue and yellow contras and rollers. I have a set of 5s and a set of 7s. I also have my polini 2.5-4 gram sets if I need to go that low. Looking for at least 2000-2500 more rpms on accel and full shift. That should have my max shift at about 50. Probably should/will add a clutch and bell and extra belt to this order as well.
Should have took a picture but I looked at the plug and it seems pretty spot on. It was a dark caramel color on the strap. Black on the threads, but the was Just a touch of a grayish ash that wiped away with my finger. Now I had been breaking in a new belt and was no more than half throttle well up until THAT WOT kill switch run.
