Well, the seat supports are all welded up! I am glad the seat itself hides the welds on the top, the bottom ones are fugly too. It took me about 6 hours to weld it all up, it was pretty tough getting to everything. I also had a couple other things slowing me down. For one, my welding helmet kept falling off. I have a weird head shape, very basketballish. I am hoping I can get a different head band for the welding hood. Also the heat kept kicking on in Scootopia, and that messes up the shielding gas, so I had to wait for the heater to cut off to continue. I was constantly switching sides on the lift and raising and lowering it in an attempt to get a better position to weld in. I am very glad this portion of this build is done. Hopefully the rest will be easier. Pictures of my krappy welding tomorrow and a reveal that has to do with the wiring.

This is a long build. But I think your thoughtful approach is paying off. I think it's going to be something special when completed. 👌

I was a little worried at first, with just seeing the small round lights. I'm not a big fan of small lights because I don't trust other drivers anyway, so poor lighting is one more reason to be ran over. They look quite bright and visible though, so nice job keeping it both clean and safe!
The only thought I'll add is to consider having whatever signals you use up front mounted in a way that allows for some side visibility. I usually either use a light that does that on it's own or just mount the front signals at a little angle. Prob not saying anything you don't know, but I'm kind of a stickler for using turn signals so I couldn't help myself. 🤓

I am surprised at the amount of light getting through the lenses. They are quite bright and some of the light can be seen from the side fairly well. Hopefully it is enough, however there are other options if they do not work out. For the front turn signals, I am thinking of putting the same type of yellow dots I have on the rear signals, into the ends of the handlebars. I dont know if is legal (like it matters here) or just a bad idea. Or maybe some of the yellow dots up on the headlight bracket. I really want to use bar end mirrors on this build so possibly the turn signals could be incorporated into the bar end mirrors somewhere.

I like the hazard indicators. I miss having that function on my Chinese scooter. Looks quite bright and well thought out.
