Is it possible to modify a stock Minarelli 49cc clone engine to fit a top end from a Yamaha Aerox 100? Can the stock cases take the amount of bottom end porting that would be needed to fit an aerox 100 crank?
And yes I know just swaping the engine from an aerox would be a 100 times easier, but there are no engines like that from where I live, and shipping an entire engine from another place would be extremely expensive (tax+customs fee)

Thanks mate. Don't really have thick card, I just want to add some power to my scooter. Do you recon that a midrace 70cc AC cylinder is better than a stock 100cc from an aerox?

Yep!The good part of building a 90+ engine is a torquey lowrev(10,000 rpm) motor..A warm 70 build will beat it in the short haul...

It's a lot easier to make an aerox 50 faster than a 100cc. The 100 wasn't that fast stock. It only made 7.5bhp. Engine performance parts are very scarce with virtually no choice. They can be made faster, but it requires skilful machining and tuning. It's not a bike you can just bolt stuff on.

Thanks for the reply guys! I was thinking between making my JOG either LC 70cc or bigbore 100 AC. I also noticed that parts are definitely scarce for the bigbore stuff and the thing is that if you decide to machine the cases there's no going back go regular minarelli stuff... So I will probably make my Jog LC at the end. What are your thoughts on this?

You have a lot more control of temperature with an LC build. Which in turn means more power.😁 There is a ton of good cylinder/ exhaust combinations with LC. There is one that would be right for you. I have had lots of different setups and a stage 6 street race 70 was my favourite. Loads of power. Very durable. The Polini corsa is probably similar. The full race setup was fun, but it is something you have to be in the right mood to enjoy.

It's pretty fast, but nothing race worthy. Tops out at around 65, with a 180lb rider. In regards to the Jog build, I am also looking for something similar in performance, but also daily driveable(reliable, good mpg) for now.. Probably looking at cast iron sport cylinder options like the ones you mentioned (polini corsa, malossi sport, stg6 streetrace).

I have also seen some single ring aluminium cylinder kits---Airsal Sport 70 in particular. Although I couldn't find any data on how much peak hp such cylinder would produce..
