Would it be worth to change the 2fast 86cc exhaust for a mxs gp90 exhaust? Another option would be the new stage6 90-100cc exhaust.

I ordered the mxs gp exhaust, should be here this week. Next question is, how much longer gears could the bike use? Stock gears are 13/52 primary, 14/42 secondary. 12:1 gear ratio. I used stock primary gears and 15/39 secondary gears on my tpr, it was 10.4:1 gear ratio. Could 15/50 primary gears and 14/41 secondary gears work? The gear ratio would be 9.75:1.

9.8:1 from 10.4:1 isn't a massive change. Definitely makes a difference, but considering how well the TPR pulled the 10.4:1 gearing, I'd think the 9.8:1 may be feasible. That or just try the 10.4 and see how it goes so you can use that info to decide how big of a step you think it can take. You can play with the calculators here to see potential changes. www.49ccscoot.com/calculators.htmlNumerically lower gear ratio. Gearing for higher top speed.

I already sold the old gears, but they were on the edge of being too long for the power. In the top speed video i posted on the forum, you can hear the cvt shifting and rpm dropping. The bidalot kit will have more power but i dont know how much of a difference the longer gears make.

~5MPH difference with that sort of change in ratio (0.6:1) based on a calculator. If you weren't overrevving to do 85MPH before, then there's probably more in those gears if both kits rev about the same.

I find it kind of strange how everyone on this forum seems to agree that around 10:1 is ideal for even high power setups. i find this strange because i see alot of set ups on honda elites and sym dd50s that run gearing as high as 7:1 with a ported polini corsa. i know that wheel sixe matters and elites are always 10inch but is there another difference possibly, is the pulley system on a af16 vs a minarelli or piaggio hold shorter ratios perhaps?
I am going up a massive amount on my ratio from 12:1 to 8.5:1 i understand that will require a overhaul on my cvt and i will still lose take off speed but i ran 9:1 gearing on a build with the standard stroke and it pulled fine.
pewpew is your build on 12" wheels and is that why your ideal ratio is around 10:1 instead of 8:1 ?

13’s? I’m a scoot noob but I’ve not seen 13’s. 10’s and 12’s I thought ruled the roost.
