Well I pulled the trigger on the Maxiscoot cylinder last night. For those of you not familiar with it, it's a 50mm bore, 45mm stroke, and uses a 90mm connecting rod. Maxiscoot claims the cylinder is capable of 26-28hp! I am pretty stoked to get it. So the matching crankshaft is out of stock everywhere I look. I do have a 45mm Taiwan crank on the way which I think has a 85mm connecting rod, not sure though. My thoughts are either run it with the 85mm rod and no spacer or order the appropriate Stage 6 90mm connecting rod. The Stage 6 90mm rod is over $150, so I will definitely look into running it without the spacer. Today I am going to get the wheels primed and painted. I will also get the frame cleaned up and ready for paint. I'll post some pics when I figure out how to do it from my phone.

After painting the handlebars, I realized how poor the frame and forks looked. I ground off a lot of the tabs I wont be using yesterday. I'm hoping I can get the frame primed and painted this week. Still waiting on the crankshaft and cylinder to come in. My plans so far are: MXS GP2 90cc cylinder TWH 45mm crankshaft 90mm connecting rod upgrade KX 85 V Force Reeds 34mm pwk MVT ignition

Looks good what you have done so far. Most of the frame is not seen when the panels are on. But makes sense to do it while it's stripped down.

Aeroxbud, this will be a naked build since most of the fairings are damaged. This orange bike is the look I'm going for.

I love that orange scoot. It definitely has the look I like. What pipe will you be pairing this build with?

That should look good. Some naked bikes look better than others. The lines have to flow.

My cylinder came yesterday. Only 3 days from Maxiscoot in Germany to my door in the midwest. I am impressed so far. Check out the exhaust port, holy smokes! The ports are so large they have to send you sealant plugs for the cylinder stud holes. The price was also great from Maxiscoot. Before shipping and after promo codes, the price was €249 or about $296. This is my first over 70cc build that requires cutting the cases, liquid conversion, etc. So I may need some advice later on. Now I am just waiting on the 45mm Taiwan crankshaft to show up so I can decide what to do about the connecting rod.
