Happy "early" Thanksgiving to all of you. I wish you all safe travels in you're journey, don't eat too much turkey and fall asleep behind the wheel . I will be traveling to both sides of the family, my wife and I's. We usually all sit in the living room and watch television, somehow the NFL games always ends up on. I am not personally much of a football fan but i participate in the festivities, always nice to get everyone together and talk about the times, even though this year has been a total show. After a bit of television and chit chatting we make out way to the dining room and have all the fixings, turkey, homemade gravy, sweet potatoes, corn, oven baked biscuits, etc.. Next on the agenda is my favorite time of the day, the feeling of a full belly rubbing our stomach, talking about how much we shouldn't have ate. As the sun goes down we usually have the tv going and the back door open and family going in and out to the patio looking at the yards talking about future plans. Please feel free to share you're holiday.

No travel, no getting together, staying home in isolation. No big thing for me since I have been mostly isolated for 11 years due to illnesses other than Covid-19.

I was planning to just have dinner with my parents. We all live in the same house. Didn't want to be around anyone else. A friend is having some seriously tough times lately and I talked to him today. Invited him and his 2 kids over for dinner after hearing how things are going. We had a 22lb turkey for 3 people (online grocery ordering; they picked out a huge one). I've been around them lately anyway and I discussed that beforehand with the household. As much as we want to be safe and isolate, there are times that we cannot abandon friends.

It's very strange times we are living through. A lot of people feeling lonely and depressed. I haven't seen any of my family for months. They are going to relax the restrictions at Christmas. But it is a mine field. Do you stay safe? Or visit friends/family.

Thank you for sharing @ 90GtVert. Ah yes tough times indeed,My family and I stay safe as we can. We wear our masks anywhere outside the house or if someone comes over who is not immediate family. We work it like that. Now for thanksgiving no one in the house will be wearing a mask and we will sit at the tables " business as usual". Can't wait to eat!

Thanksgiving will be a giant superspreader event. A lot of people won't be here for Christmas. Get togethers in a pandemic are a lot like going to war, we never think it is going to be us that gets shot or killed, we always think it is going to be the other guy...
Some people in my immediate family are having a Zoom meeting. Not me, I don't have any video capability.

It's a bit strange watching the Macy's day parade in front of the Macy’s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street in New York City. It's good to see they still did a parade of sorts this year.

We usually have dinner for around 10 family and friends including my father and mother. But this year mom and dad are gonna stay home, Ill just take them a plate. It sucks, but its just not worth the risk for them.

We are not doing our normal Thanksgiving dinner this year due to Covid. Extended family will not be coming over as per usual. Instead my wife and I are doing some binge watching off of Netflix and Amazon Prime. For dinner we got "the Bobbie" This is a sub made of fresh baked turkey, stuffing, cranberry. www.brandeating.com/2010/07/review-capriottis-bobbie-sandwich.html#:~:text=Capriotti%27s%20best%20known%20sandwich%20is%20known%20simply%20as,made-in-house%20shredded%20turkey%2C%20cranberry%20sauce%2C%20stuffing%2C%20and%20mayo. They are a big hit in my state. Although I have never had one until tonight. Stuffing on a roll just seems off to me. But people swear they are fantastic. Hoping everyone finds someway to find joy during these tough times Happy Thanksgiving
