It's not gonna compare to a shop in the winter and for security of course, but as far as comfort it'll probably be nicer to work in the carport in warmer weather.

Yeah eventually i want a real stick and brick garage but thats many years down the road. I have lived here for 30 years and the crime rate here is one if the lowest in America. We didnt even lock the door for the first 25 years lol

I've lived here all of my life and not much happens, but then one day my neighbor kicked my door in. My next nearest neighbor had his door kicked but they were unable to get in maybe a week prior. Lately there seem to be a lot more home invasions very nearby too after prescriptions and cash. We're out in the country and I used to think it was pointless to lock the doors other than at night, but now I lock the doors even when I'm out in the yard cutting grass. Used to leave windows open in the garage, now I lock those before I go in.

I dont bellieve that motor is from that factory. Don't the ones from there get the QJ139qmb stamp?
The other thing is that is not a 13 in wheel it is a 12 inch rim not 13 it has a low profile on it which makes it the same size as at 10 with a 10*3.50 The rim design tells me it more than likely came out of a TaoTao . I have been working with a few lots here the past few years and the only company I have seen stock with those tire sets were TaoTao's and up until late last year their engines did come with 85-88 main jets and were stamped 139qmb-a now they put 1p39qmb in em same with Vip.

Hello mr808. Its certainly a 13" wheel. its 18.25 inches from ground to the top of the tire. 10" wheel with 3.50 tire is 2" smaller. This wheel will not fit my scoot with 10" wheel. I took the wheel off to put it on Midnight and it would not fit. The tire hits the case but you can clearly see in the photo the qmb-a case is longer. It has a 723mm belt. Midnight has a 669mm. Yes the tire says '12' but every 13" scooter wheel i have seen has a #/#-12 tire. I guess in China, a 13" wheel is '12'. I have not seen any TaoTao Hunters with this style of wheel. Its a stock 47mm Bore. The fellow i bought it from said he bought it nearly new, the prior owner was the original buyer and never had it worked on. he did not install any engine parts so he said. All the Boadiao QT-3's I sell have been 47mm stock bore as well. Pictured with a 39mm piston for comparison:

ok so it is a 47mm bore but it is not a 13" wheel wheel is not measured from where the metal ends it is measured from where the bead sits making this a 12 in rim hence the tire says 12

I suppose scooter wheels and tries are measured differently, In my 20 years of automotive service i have learned to measure a wheel from rim edge. Thanks for posting

NO they are measured the same way. apparently someone showed you the incorrect way cause cars, trucks, dirt bikes, atv's, golf carts, scooters, mopeds, and even wheel barrows are all measured from bead to bead not metal to metal. I know you aren't going to believe me but you can check that out for yourself. I just want others to know the proper way. phorums.com.au/archive/index.php/t-148768.htmlwww.ehow.com/how_4423710_measure-tire-rim-size.htmlI apologize if I come off rude or crass that is not my intent these forums are a place people like me and you come to help or be helped so I feel it is important for the correct information to be available.

Here is the true 'long' longcase motor with rear disc brake bracket i just bought from Fox. It takes a 788 belt as opposed to 669 in my present 'short' shortcase qmb motor. So i am moving the rear wheel back 119mm which is just over 4.5 inches. add another inch for the larger wheel and we are looking at a total of over 5.5 inches of stretch not counting the tire with no motor mount mod. With a rear fender delete, 2 inch drop and the right 120-130 tire, i will hopefully have the extended drag bike look i am shooting for. It being a rear disc brake will add to the looks and driveability of course. This 'long' shortcase motor above is now for sale.

Shakerdriver has the disc brake wheel for sale with 130/60/13 tire. Thats a lower profile tire than i had intended but for now it will work. Things are shaping up nice.

I have found out recently is that there are both short and long versions of both shortcase and longcase 139qmb motors. (this discovery was made prior to someone else getting credit for 'discovering' it here from my information. I hate to sound petty but give credit where credit is really due.) shortcase short and long belts: 669 723 longcase short and long belts: 729 788 if a 723 belt for a 'long' shortcase motor is put on a 'short' longcase motor (729 belt) it will break. I forget who was having this problem recently but this is why. Cheers

Cheers there might be only 3: 669, 723 and 788. what exactly the 729 belt is for i dont know. i have heard of some 723 belts breaking on motors that originally had 729 on them.
