Those look so small. I wonder if they really are that bright. I might just give them a shot.

Cool build. I built up my Buddy last year and may consider upgearing this year. Can’t wait to see how it turns out for you. Is that the Yasuni R? I was able to get the supplied bracket to work by just slotting the holes. Your solution looks better, though. Thats odd that you got the bracket to work. Mine simply could not be made to work. Please upload a picture of yours so I can see if yours was different than what was suplied with mine. I did get the Yasuni R07 though.

No. I bought the single strength LEDS from tractor supply. Blinds the hell outta oncoming traffic. No focus. Just broad white light and lots of it.

Threw some rim strips on the repainted rims. I like them more than I thought I would.

How did you get the new carb to adapt to the old intake? I see its still bolted on, but am wondering which parts you used. Also, did you switch to manual choke?
I will get you a pic of my exhaust bracket, but am guessing something changed with the R07. It took a little effort, but was pretty obvious what had to he done.

I have the malossi rebranded dellorto, it came with an adaptor for the new carb to manifold. And yes it is manual choke. I mounted it where on of the bolts for the oem airbox would have been if mine would have had one.

Thinking thats my next purchase, but wifey doesn’t like the idea of manual choke. But if a used 2t doesn’t pop up soon, then my curiosity is gonna get the best of me.

I havent actually started this motor yet, but im sure its going to be a huge difference. The stock was 17.5 and this one is 21mm. I did some porting to the stock manifold and adaptor to make sure everything mated up well and no major bottlenecks, trimmed a little of the protruding gasket between adaptor and manifold too. Manual choke isnt that hard of a step to remember.

The secondary gear sets listed for sale on scooterpartsco do in fact fit genuine scooter gearboxs. My final drive is now 9.5 to 1. Ive got the gear box sealed up and torqued down. I threaded the gear oil drain a little more than factory and put a little bit longer bolt in place of the one i found stripped. All new bearings and all new seals all around in there now too. Shouldnt have to go in there for a long time now (hopefully). Now just need to fill it up with some high quality gear oil and thats done. Now im just waiting on the Malossi fly clutch and the Stage 6 clutch bell that get here tomorrow. Then im taking the motor back to the storage unit and marrying the motor back to the body. I cant wait to get a few heat cycles into this thing and get the carb jetted right. My dmv date seems so far yet so close!

So... When are you gonna fire it up for the first time? I wanna know how those gears are treating you before I order them. Lol.
