So as i was tearing down the engine in preparation for all the parts and making a overall plan of what else ill be doing right now, and i found some problems... Fr one, the shop that the PO took the bike to for diagnosis and potentailly repairing left vital nuts loose. The engine mount was finger tight and the flywheel nut wasnt even on the crank. I also found that someone stripped the drain bolt on the transmission. I love fonding vital things repaired with jb weld! Also on some level, this was comforting when i found it. Lol peace indeed.

Welcome back and nice find. You're lucky whoever got into the motor stayed away from the body.

That looks like it’ll do nicely.
You’ll have fun with the bike. We get a lot thru the shop, and the more I work on them, the more I like them.
One thing to keep an eye on is they’ll suck a plastic bag right up into the shroud and melt it around the shaft and friction melt it. It’s not commonplace, but it happens.

Nice work on the bracket. It does seem a little close. Is there no room to twist the exhaust anti-clockwise on the engine mounting bolts? That might give you more clearance.

Just measured my clearance 10mm it,s never crossed my mind before but I,d guess your good to go if it clears, just check it after a run it would be a shame to ruin those plastics. Geoff

Ive got my trail tech hooked up and sensor wires ran in preparation for the engine going back in. Still waiting on upgear and now a whole rear pulley set up. I noticed that the one on the bike had a serious wobble to it. I assume that someone dropped it at some point. So ive got a Stage 6 clutch bell, Malossi fly clutch, NCY torque driver, and a stock pulley base assembly. After I get all those installed and this rear rim is done waiting on the paint to cure completely, I'll install the tire on the rim and button the whole engine up and put it back on the bike. Only real thing left on the body is to shave the rear duckbill fender off to just hold the tag, and figure out what my headlight solution is going to be. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a light bar that has high and low beam operation and a single mount point?

I just cant make a decision on a headlight with high low function. I need something that mounts to a single bolt. I plan on wiring to a 12v source on ignition just like my trailtech. I just cant seem to find anything that has high low function in a light bar or pod. Please! If anyone has any suggestions I could really use them. Maybe im over thinking this and should just wire up a pod or bar that doesnt have high low...

I don't think I've ever seen a light bar with a high/low functions. They usually are one directional, as considered auxiliary lights.

Cool build. I built up my Buddy last year and may consider upgearing this year. Can’t wait to see how it turns out for you.
Is that the Yasuni R? I was able to get the supplied bracket to work by just slotting the holes. Your solution looks better, though.
