Read my ‘08 Keeway F-act build thread. If this scooter of yours truly is a CPI Vento Keeway machine you should have a 12mm wrist pin and the 16mm diameter spline crank. I have a Stage6 street race 70 cylinder, Giannelli Reverse exhaust, China copy 19mm Dellorto with a cone shape air filter and a straight groove torque driver. I drilled two 3/8 holes in each clutch shoe to increase take off rpm. I leaves at 9k and stays there nice and flat until 45? then it climbs to 10k at 59 mph top speed. Averages 40mpg nice, looked at your thread, Very nice work on it! i dont think this will be a CPI Vento machine, but ill pull the top end on it this weekend and measure the crank pin diameter. just got a fresh bottle of 75/25 argon, time to clear out that baffling crap!

CPI cases have a casting mark in the wheel opening about midway like this; It sure looks like a CPI to me but may be a knock off..

well, calling it a day. took me a LOOONG time, but, all that EPA crap is GONE!! 2 baffles and a cat for me. it'll need to be patched up (leaks,do to my "perfect" welding) also sounds lean, id say a up-jet is in order.

alright, filter arrived, patched up most of the holes in the exhaust, also upjetted to 85, and slapped a pod on.
verdict, she's LOUD, like 2am ricey civic loud, also same top end, but much much better acceleration.
I don't see a logo, so I'm not sure if it's the real deal till I take off the top end for some "port" work (knowing me, its gonna end up crappy).
also got me my cheapo Dremel burrs, gonna be a good day.
next step is getting a better exhaust, I've got my eyes set on the leo-vince TT as a budget upgrade (for now)
also should add i blew up my differential on my Yamaha QT50, so budget cuts since that's my main focus currently.

Well, cant find a Leovince pipe that will fit (although there is one on eBay i inquired about as the stock photo and the model # the seller is selling are totally different pipes)
any other decent budget pipes out there? (I've also considered the V2 and the cheapo 65$ job pipes on fleabay as well)

Finally some good stuff! Got the top end off, and have some good news and bad news. Good news is, 12mm wrist pin!! Looks like its a genuine CPI Bad news, stock cylinder is JUNK for any meaningful preformance as the manufacturer casts a HUUGE restrictor on it (its narrower then the tip of your thumb, for reference) Gonna order a cheapo "90cc" big bore kit for it. Still looking for pipe reccomendations!

Save yourself disappointment down the road and buy a stage6 70cc street race kit. Buy the wider bearing to match piston too. Cylinder has 49cc stamped right on it for the PoPo

I mean, I like messing with stuff more than driving lol.
Ill see how it turns out, if its junk ill see what i can do to make it better. I also don't want to purchase a racing crankshaft just yet..
It is an 8 port though, so its got potential to be atleast decent.

well, my Ebay kit arrived, and guess what! manufacture screwed it up, piston and rings jam and it won't even go into the bore, requested a refund but the guy is being picky with it, really don't want to involve eBay in this if I don't have to.
guess it pays off to listen to the forum people!
thinking Naraku as a good budget option, thoughts?

Alright! big bore arrived!
Naraku 70cc for the cpi/vento keyway.
Bolted right up and she rips! upjetted to 105 (seems perfect, possibly slightly rich)
it'll chirp the tire and accelerate pretty fast, needs a bit of fine-tuning (rollers are a bit heavy) need to break it in but tops out at about 45ish, I expect around 50 once it's fully broken in.

I also have TNG SS49. Can anyone tell me where the CDI box is? I bought a racing CDI to put in it. But I looked everywhere and can't seem to find it. Unless it looks different than what I'm thinking. I ended up putting the racing CDI in my TaoTao. It's a junker I got for $80 and I just slapped new carb in it and cleaned the rust out of the tank and got it running.
But I really wanna put a racing cdi in the tng ss49. See if I can get just a little bit more out of it. I'm limited in what I can do. Don't have welder or anything like that.

Pull your seat bucket out and look all along the frame rails. I was amazed at how much better I could work on stuff with the bucket out. It could also be along the steering column area?

if you plan on running one of those "racing CDI" units, make sure you keep your stock CDI in your seat bucket so that you have a replacement back-up when the "racing CDI" starts acting up.
