Is the switch in the run position? Are you holding the brake lever in, and when you do, does the brake light come on?

Most setups use the brake light V for one side of the relay, and use the START button connecting to ground for the other(ground) side of the relay winding. You can check for Voltage at the relay: Key ON, close brake switches(one at a time) and use a test light(other probe grounded) touching the relay feed. As you cycle the brake light switch(operate the brake lever) the light should go ON and OFF as appropriate. Testing the other(START button) switch, connect your test light to the "+" terminal of the battery. Other end of the test to the relay side connected to START. Push the button and the switch should provide ground and light the test light. You should be able to figure out what is missing using the above. tom

Un plug the little two wire connector from starter relay and put a test light across the two pins coming from the harness side so the clip from test light to one wire and tip to other wire be sure ur in the harness side hold brake and hit start button if it lights u got a bad relay if it doesn't light remove test light put clip on bat power test both pins in harness side connector one wire should light the test light while hitting starter button which is the ground to relay. Now swap clip into ground at battery and test both pins at harness side while pull brake one wire should light test light. See what you are missing. So ground from starter switch and power from brake switch

One other thing always check the puns in the connectors on these scoots they don't use rubber seals and the connectors are cheap I have a lot of times in any components or connectors the tabs in the connectors spread from the connectors not being a tight solid fit and vibration from the scooter the pins spread and don't make a connection so u will have everything u need for a component to work but it still don't u replace it and still don't work it can drive u nuts if ur not aware of this. They also sometimes just get a little corroded and don't conduct from corrosion bc the connectors don't have a seal sometimes just unplugging and plug back in makes a good connection if that happens the puns need to be cleaned and tightened

The system flags any new addition to the forum as 'NEW', even when it is a person replying to an old post. I always look at the first post and the date listed for it. The original poster also has a 'Crown' to indicate the OP in all subsequent posts in the thread.
