You can find the tail brake assemblies real cheap on eBay. Gotta figure out how you wanna mount 'em, but the bulbs don't usually burn out. I did have some bulbs go bad in one assembly, but then I also wrecked it at speed. I have one on each of my scoots. You can find LED turns as well, prob not anything that will fit right in those indents.

My research on parts so far has not been that good. I can go to google or ebay and punch up gy6 or minarelli JOG and come up with a plethora of parts. I know these two engines are way more popular but what should I be using for a search term for this one? If I do sf10 I do not come up with anything.

Started out with a 09 Kymco Agility a couple of years ago. It had been rode hard and put up wet. Kinda rough but has ran great for all this time with me and a couple of grandkids riding it. Picked up another, a 06 Kymco Agility that had been treated good and it has ran perfect for almost the same time frame. Ran into another Kymco, a 09 Grandvista 250 with less than 1000 miles a year ago and it is a great touring scooter. But my choice of the scooters is the 50 cc models for running around town. Great quality and price. Probably the best of the China scooters I've had. I'm 250 and all of them hauls my fat butt around with no problem.

By the way. I am out in the TX Panhandle and away from all Kymco dealers but have had great luck with parts from Jenny at tntcyles-atv. Great service and quick shipping. All I've ever needed was airfilters and spark plugs and all was shipped the same day.

Maybe I am searching incorrectly. I can't even find a set of rings from them for my model.

Nope.. I couldnt either. Not for the stock bore anyway. Dosnt seem to be as many parts as there used to for it. When i needed a set i ended up buying a whole piston kit from Autotech355 for cheap. It looks like he is out right now though. stores.ebay.com/Autotech355-Performance-Parts

Well I would not mind increased displacement if the bore was messed up. I will just tear it down and see what I need. Maybe if the piston and bore are messed up I will go the BBK route.

I put a BBK on my Super 9, same engine, and still have the jug, piston, and rings if interested. They are in good shape and I didn't have any issues with the OEM set up, I just wanted more power.
Let me know if interested, I can post up pics if you want. You should be happy with that scooter and have had great luck with mine.

I agree. Great engines, stock or built. I really like mine.

OK here is an update on this one. I have it all torn down. I have done a leak down test and it passes fine so no need to worry about the crank seals. I still need to find a source for both new and used parts. My next step is to get every thin degreased and washed up so I can start working on the panels painting the frame and putting it back together. In the mean time I am hoping to come up with a parts bike or a source for reasonable parts. One of the pics shows the variator pulley. The restricted drive boss has a shoulder on it rather than just a washer you can remove. Quite a lot of the outer edges of this pulley look virgin to me! I suspect there is some speed to be had there!! Pics here s1012.photobucket.com/albums/af248/nwsmith427/02%20Kymco%20Yup/

There is a replacement boss you can order. I'll start searching if no one can tell you where to get one.

I would try Moped Hospital first; www.mhr-usa.com/Might not be on their website catalog but they either have them in stock or can get them easily............. I have always had good experience with this place.

Would like to find one source for everything. I think I am just going to get my list together here in the next couple of weeks and request some quotes. I can only seem to buy the rings from the dealer for $32 (all I need) or the piston and rings for 20 something from Scooter Assasins. I have yet to find the top end gaskets as a set maybe I just have to ask..... They have the variator boss as well. At this point I am looking for stock parts not BBK and performance parts. I am sort of interested in seeing what the base is for this scoot derestricted. The unused portion of the variator looks huge to me...
