Ah, 2strokd I see where you are going with this..... That is a great deal on the pipe the change is rattling in my pocket right now saying buy it! I would bet that would be pretty close to something I might use in the future if I went up a bit in displacement too.... What do you think? Today if it gets warm enough I am going to lug all my parts and pieces out to the driveway for some degreasing and washing. I will be working on my parts list too. I was pretty surprised to see a Kymco belt under the cover considering this thing has over 8K miles on it. No pic of the drive boss but it has to be the restricted one with the belt ring that low in the variator! i1012.photobucket.com/albums/af248/nwsmith427/02%20Kymco%20Yup/IMG_0575.jpgI would think the gain in MPH would be pretty decent if I can get that belt riding near the top. What do you think?

I would bet that would be pretty close to something I might use in the future if I went up a bit in displacement too.... What do you think? The NextR was my first performance aftermarket mod on my Derbi. It added 5 mph to the top speed with no jetting changes and I still got 70 mpg with the throttle pinned most of the time. If you're considering a big bore upgrade think about going with a 70cc pipe now. The new Technigas RSII for example. Stay away from the old RS that MHR has been liquidating. It is a strictly a low speed torque pipe that will not help your top end. The NextR hits about where most stock scoots starts running out of steam on up to about 9500. It will work with a 70 kit pretty well but you'll be a lot happier with a pipe designed for a 70 kit. (much more interior volume and thus better bottom end torque) Provoscooter.com sells the RSII for Minarellis and Kymcos (if I remember correctly) here in the States at a pretty good price. The Stage 6 Pro Replica is a little peakier for more ultimate power but drops off pretty sharply thereafter. It was even cheaper than a RSII I recently ordered from SPMOTOSPORTS.COM in Canada.

Yes, that cvt needs tuned bad! Cleaning it good! Best place to start. Good info on that pipe Reg . Thanks man! I bought a used Tech Next for $75 local a while back. I plan on maybe trying it out on my stock Cobra? bigkahuna, that is a 50cc pipe. It would work on a 70 but you would never get the full potential and risk overheating with a 70cc and that pipe. For that price i dont think you can go wrong tho. I would buy it, use it now. And if you ever go up in displacement? Sell the pipe for $75 and use that toward your RSII. (not a good pipe for a 50 BTW)

Where do I find some good basic info pipes and two stroker performance? I feel myself falling into the rabbit hole!!!! :crash:

I'm not exactly sure when it was originally published. I wanna say early 80s. It's great info though. Very popular still today.
